my box is working again just the lcd that aint anyone have any ideas ?

i it has been a while since i have been on this site. I have a nokia dbox, normally i would get the new codes from from the TCB.cc tool bar, this time i went to enter the new code by pressing 4 on keylist went to change the code, changed the code then pressed home but the the changed did not save. tried a couple of times but the change does not save. Any ideas what i should be doing?

my mums dbox has lost its premium channels. it had been reflashed since the last scare a couple of months ago. one of my knephews had got into the sportster screen(features ) and couldnt get out so pressed a load of buttons. i chaged the emu settings to evocamd and alternate but no joy. there doesnt seem to be any keys present when i force the update or re boot.

can anyone help . i have one too and mine has no problems as it updates itself.

is it simple or do i have to get it rebooted again.

Just checking...does IFA automaticaly backup ur old image?
and is it best to copy services and boquets b4 flashing new image?

Is thier an seperate prog to backup image?

ifa does back up the image so thats a yes, i always back up bouquets and services so thats a yes, and finally another yes because you can back everything up via ftp just simply drag and drop to back up the image via ftp you do that via the dbox service then image upgrade backup once dont its in the temp folder will be named as mtd3 then just drag that from temp to your desktop

Hi SG,

I would recommend Blade Quad but it has a problem in scanning in Dublin as the NetID is incorrect. You can edit the setmylocations and delete scan config to correct this.

But for less hassle Andromeda or Commando are fine for Dublin. If you need them and services or bouquets, just shout. Obviously you know you will have to copy over you know what to these two.

Yes I need them!, I have a Nokia that is up and running but I scanned one and lost the channels, so did not want to do the same again. I was going to get the working Nokia back and take the image off that one, but I would still have the problem with scanning.

 

I am using Commondo 9.25 at the moment, would you like the whole image, with everything included

i like to backup my image this way

Press the D Box Key on remote
Choose Service
Choose Software Update
Choose Expert Mode
Choose Read Single Partition without Bootloader

then a copy of your image gets written into the /tmp folder on the DBox2. You can then connect via your FTP Program and save it to your PC.
then you can power of the dbox2 .and the image will be deleted in the temp folder

i also put my new images on the same way ftp to temp the new image
then go
