my dbox2 freezes no channels and on boot up some times & also locks on channels can not get remote to work do a need to by a new one
ive been told it getting to hot

 

hi there are many out there these days its personal choice commando is a good stable image, blade trinity is another good one, but has been known to chirp and freeze with that image

 

Starview 3 are they good

 

your on a nokia dbox? dont try putting other images not ment for a dbox as this can have serious effects, if you do manage to get it on, sorry if you ment starview in general

 

hi delm3000 here . i do not want to start a new thread and waste everybodys time.....turner123 you seem to be the morpheous or neo of the forum can you please help? have 2 dboxes , both on sportster tried to scan 1 of them yesterday and now it will not even update time and have no channels at all even after trying to scan.please help

 

hi first thing i can suggest is re flash the boxes with a new image with au in them already so all once done just scan and you will be back to normal i fyou need the images software and tutorials just ask and ill put the links up

 

turner i am a novice i need all the help i can get! managed key changes no probs but au's cross nulls and all other jargon all maccaronie to me i beg for help feels like i've lost limbs

 

rite got ya lol... well its not hard at all... once you have done it you ll find it simple... lets start from the beggining do you have you a null rs232 ? or if you do not have that com port you can get a usb to serial cable also needed a cross over cable...

the link in my signiture download that you ll need winrar to unpack it and an avi plugin to watch it, on the video it shows me flashing a box best thing to do is watch it a couple of times get yourself familiar and then ask the questions you are stuck on, once you feel confident ill send you the link to image flash assistant and 100% working images

 

alo if you was anywhere near preston and willing to travel id flash them for you

 

soz to sound thick but what is a null rs or usb to port and cross over? i have a pc and a laptop i have a usb modem cable but thats all i think will check my laptop wires????? where do i get all this stuff????

 

a usb to serial can be found at ebay maplins or cpc, 9 times out of 10 the ethernet cable does the job just fine. seems complicated atm but seriously its not

 

ok have ethernet cable from laptop 2 box what now? tried to download winar but ended up wiyh registery doctor or somthing? do i need to download an avi? and please stop laughing this sh*t is killing me! feel like a 5 year old again lol

all these boxes are worth there weight, but all need some sort of modding done to them to get them working, if your not 100% confident doing that best stick with your dbox, re flash it put some new batteries in the remote or buy a new remote that could be the problem
