i think you can solder a new1 on or just simply buy a new tuner unit and replace the whole tuner again soldering is envolved if your not clued up on it get some1 who is to do it for you

i know this is repairing something what your not fixing but it gives you an in sight what it all looks like

the box dont have an ip address anymore ifa assigns it a temp 1 and uses the mac address to get the image back on again use your null and cross over cable you should nt have any problems

hi turner, hope your on here tonight.
tried to flash box through the ifa but keep getting these two messages.

"the program issued a command but the command length is incorrect"

    and

"the UDT-port 67 and/or 68 is already used by application"?, processID:1068" the boot server would not work!
    please close application.

    any ideas?????????????

the UDT-port 67 and/or 68 is already used by application this means the port is being used either end it going through task manager and ending it that way or just reboot your comp then try again put your image on the desktop open ifa serarch for the image next select the ethernet and select the null and com port number it is then select start click ok until dbox waiting to start comes up then plug it in at the wall if noting happens unplug back in again until your screen on the ifa says loading software

hi turner, for some reason i pressed ok on the ifa and it worked-very strange, anyways i tried your commando download but couldnt get any channels so i downloaded the laky pro image designed for the 1x boxes and it worked fine. thanks for your help.
ps how can you tell the difference between 1x and 2x boxes. i know you said thst sagem are most likely to be 1x but i have flashed a sagem that must have been 2x. its just to save me the hassle really.
    thanks again

ifa tells you if you are flashing a wrong image to the box then you know its the opposit, were you got it from off me commando there is a 1x and 2x versions all is needed is to scan then wait on a channel and it will update without fail and channel pop on

    Hi turner123
I have been following this thread ever since they changing codes for nokia Dox 2 and ever since then I've been using TheChatterBox.cc Toolbar formarly (mjjj) to change codes. But I'm sick and tired of doing it now I have a few questions for you if you can kindly answer this for me.
    1. I currently have Commando Image (I'm not sure what version) on my Dbox2 and if I flash my dbox2 to IFA image will I sill have to keep changing codes when NTL change codes ??
    2. what is a crossover cable ?? is it same as a network cable ?
    3. I have blocked some of the channels because of my kids and if I flash with IFA will I be able block any channel I want to ??
    4. If I flash to IFA will I have all the channels I had previously.

Hope you can considerate to answer all my questions. Thanking you in advance.

goto page 167 of this thread get yourself ftp program and follow the tut i put on, then with the link were you got your ftp from get the nagrarom 7 10 11 and ftp them into the key folder on your dbox(unpack them before you do send as they are in zip-rar archive) when promted to over rite click ok, also your password will be commando, once all done nothing will be changed on your box, other than you wont need to update it no longer

Hi, Im not the greatest of the techies but i tried my best to put in the new keys into my db0x. However every time i change and save, nothing happens, it doesnt save.

Also i can't change the channel list now anymore, in fact i can't save any sort of settings.

I used to be able to ftp files onto the dbox, but now it doesnt let me do that aswell, cos i was trying to upload a new keylist.txt on to my db0x, as i wasnt able to change it from the box itself.

so its kinda stuck in a read-only mode.

Has anyone experienced this before, or knows how to solve this problem

    It'll be much appreciated.
    Thanks
