Turner youre as complex as ever Regards solutions if people would read through a thread there would be no reason to post, hence why this thread had become quiter. If the solution is here, (and BTW all over the web), reading instead of posting is probably the logical outcome.

nah mate i have sacked that off good and proper thats the reason i have reverted to doing things i did as a kid....n what fun....but when your a kid a bit of poon is all you think of lol....

when putting an image together can it be done on windows os 95/98/2000/xp/vista etc or a linux based as this is what i fancy taking on next i do have all the research found the files tuts etc read them 100s of times, just the os ???im stuck with?

 

It can only be done on Linux m8,
Ubuntu is your best bet for a Linux newbie,you can dual boot it or run it inside a virtual machine using virtualbox or vmware,
when you have that installed just have a good read of pt-1's bible and that will get you going.
Any help you need after that give us a shout,haven't done it in a while but should come back to me fairly quickly.

 

cheers wiz i suspected it had to be done with linux i have pt1 guide and speedys etc read them many times and and read many posts from wod who have made an image and just want to join the club lol....thank you for the offer of help and will most defo be contacting you, for help...can i split my drive or best boot from an external loaded with linux..cheers wiz

 

You can split your drive m8 no probs or better still use Wubi installer it installs ubuntu as if its an application from within windows,no need to partition or anything,can be uninstalled like any other windows application and when you boot your comp it presents you with the option of window's or ubuntu,
Thats what I'm using at the moment m8 and have had no problems so far.

Hey do any of you know what the best image is for NTL MMDS in Galway county, was home there at the weekend and got my mate up and running on NTL cable in the city (but still missing some of the movie channels), but couldn't get my brother's going on MMDS.

Anybody out there up and running on NTL MMDS Galway??

Possibly a weak signal?, have you tried another image and rescan see if it will help.

can i ask a simple question, is there an easy way to flash a nokia dbox2 useing just a null modem cable, ihave downloaded several images from here but have no idea how to upload them

 

Same as I said above. Look in Eamos at the bottom of my post for guides, etc.

 

Help Help I have got a DBOX and it did work for about 2 weeks but this morning the channels jammed (paused) and now it is jut telling me that I there are no channels to be found even though I have rescanned on both transponders 6887 & 6952 can help me out with this or at least point me in the right direction????
