Is it correct that I have to go to the 3 files I added to the bin/emu folder, right click them and change something in there?

Yes you must chmodd these files. Right click each one and change to 775.

What exactly do I change? I right click them and don't have many options? I can rename them but that's about it. If I click properties it just shows little boxes with "read" "write" and "execute". I'm using windows XP, just so ya know. Sorry to be a pain. I just don't understand the terms on here...YET? Cheers.

I think I see the problem. Seems I need to use an FTP program like Cute FTP rather than IE to chmod the emus.

Sorry I thought you were using an FTP program.Thats basically it, change attributes to 755 and press ok on each emu.

Jobs a goodun. All up and running now. Installed my bouquets and services at the same time. Might be worth adding a little "how to" file about the chmods to your downloads. Seems this is probably the bit most are missing. Nothing mentioned about that in the beginners guide or the virgin+ readme.

Now it's time to have a look at the proper NTL box with a digital smart card in it.

    Thanks for your help sc0user.

If your using FTP you shouldnt be having a problem, once firewall and AV are off?

    Hi Jayni,

I have a box that the same thing has happened, did u get a fix 4 it? I thought by reflashing this would fix it but it didnt. any help would be great and anybody else that has any ideas. I hav done all the normal quick fixes, flashed and relashed with images that i know work!
