turner, im on myn now on the keylist.txt and there are 16 entries not 4-5 . i am unsure which to change, they are all on various roms. do u know which?

 

key 0 key 1 all i do is ftp the file out and copy paste then ftp back in i find it easyer that way as some ppl can use the remote method as its disabled for some reason

nope all i have done is ftp the keylist.txt out from the dbox open it up (notepad) use the proggy i posted copy paste them to the keylist.txt (over writing the old 1s) closed it then ftp back to the dbox then reboot and your back on....if not you have done something wrong

 

im lost, im my keylist.txt there at 18 entries, why there at 18 entries i dont know, they all show different keys eg.

N 5A01 01 "OLD CODE HERE";ROM11 AU KEY TIME THU NOV 27 16:45:58 2008
N 5A01 00 "different code";ROM11 AU KEY TIME THU NOV 27 16:45:58 2008
N 5A01 00 "anuva diff code";ROM10 AU KEY TIME THU NOV 27 16:45:30 2008
N 5A01 01 "diff code";ROM7 AU KEY TIME THU NOV 27 11:36:51 2008

they are all on different roms, and they all have different codes.

there are 18 entries and i dont wanna put them all in as ther to many. which to change i dont know? any help?

btw turner- im guesing the guys who are attempting it are trying the remote method, just like i am. the ftp bit is abit too messy

Hi pepz I am new to this site was wondering if anyone can advise me on my d-box 2, I just come home to see the movies and nothing working, i have re scanned it but nothing, would some one please advise how and what i should do.

hi i have 5 keys in my keylist.txt only the top 3 have been updated today, of these which ones shall i update
I have been on the auto update previously so have never updated the keylist before

bugger! no mate just changed them by remote only got 3 lines tho is that correct?

Using remote

1. Press the blue button and you will be in the features menu, scroll to Tuxbox Commander, press OK.

You should now be looking at the files on the D Box.

2. Scroll to VAR and press ok, If you don’t see VAR, scroll to <DIR> & press ok, if you still don’t see VAR scroll to the next <DIR> and press ok, keep doing this until VAR appears on the screen

3. When you find the VAR file and you press OK, scroll to Keys & press OK

4. Scroll to Keylist.txt and press 4 on your remote control! It is important that you don’t press OK when you scroll to keylist.txt , you must press 4 in order to edit the code that will appear! If you pressed OK in error , just press the Home button and start again.

5. After pressing 4 you should be looking at a screen with /var/keys/keylist.txt at the top, 4 or 5 codes in the middle and numbers 1 to 9 at the bottom.

6. Now you need to scroll to the code that you are going to change.

7. When you have have scrolled to code you want to change press OK, When you press OK, the code becomes slightly larger and the first digit changes colour to red, this is now your cursor! thats it

 

put the dbox onto a channel any as if your watching the tv then press then blue button

 

yeah i know how to do that but theres no keys in there to change its empty

on my old image sportser u could force key updates
