Nokia Dbox2

hi had the same problem with my first box . if you have to reboot to get it working again the problem is with the boxes image not the remote

 

when i turn it fully off and then restart it ( via box ), the remote control still wont do anything,seems like the numeral key (2) is the only button that appears to work on the remote,
version is "sportster 1.7 neutrino" if that means anything,lol

Just had a mess on with the remote for 10 mins and all of a sudden its working as if nothings wrong,then 5 mins later its usless again,lol its doing my head in

 

i suggest try buying a new remote on a well known auction site you should get one for about 8 quid !

 

an eratic remote is mostly down to the image (if u tried new batteries)...a reflash will cure it(last resort)

heathy just do a new scan..see what happens ..thats if you have changed yor cams and codes.
how long your dbox been runing correctly and wot image u got on there ?

hiya,can anyone help me please,i have just brought a nokia dbox2 from germany,i have scanned through my local location and received some 300 tv channels,however when i try to view them i get the message"decode pending"on nearly all of them and i cannot view them.i must be doing something wrong but dont know what.i am on ntl.please help.thank you.

 

Sounds like the EMU's are not swithhed on, look for a setting in one of your menus (possibly EXTRAS) and turn them on.

Hi there I need some help with my dbox.
I recently changed my password on my dbox but left the username as root.
I can connect to it via ftp no problem it accepts the username and password, but when I try access the box via the web browser (http) it does not recognise the username and password. I have restarted the web service on the box and restarted the box many times but still no joy.
Can any one help?

can i use a dbox with my exsisting sky dish, do I need to keep subscibed to sky or do I unsubscibe and recieve free sky, which box should I buy and which is the easiest to use, I just want to plug and play for free, any advice will be greatly appreciated

Nah m8, skys encryption aint been cracked unlike the CC's. If you had to cancel your sky subscription get telewest. Buy a dbox and get the software then you could get all your channels.

Its all updated constantly , so no worries there.

 

OK If you would have done some research in this forum you would have all the information you need to do everything on your Dbox. No one will answer you because you want us to do all the leg work for you. Why dont you spend time to look through all the pages and you will have your answers, we have all had to do this too and you will also learn other important info.

Ive just read earlier in this thread that you could get PPV movies on NTL and then it stopped, probably because of the way NTL provide the movies now(think its called video on demand).

that was last year the post i read, has there been any new development?

can we get them now?

If nobody order in your street there is no vod event on the line.
You can only hijack a vod film ordered from another person in your street.
Monitoring the vod frequencies is not worth the hassle.

Upload a services.xml for your area, reboot the box and check the numbers again.

 

Ive got NTL Broadband and NTL Cable television(basic package).

Bought a 3 way splitter so that my broadband,dbox2 were connected aswell as the NTL box so NTL could still communicate with it.

with the 3 way splitter connected the channels are all stuttering, so went back to 2 way splitter and channels are fine again.

worried about NTL checkin up why they cant communicate with there box.

whats the best thing to do?

Hi im from Dublin and im connected to ntl digital basic package,i have bought a Nokia Dbox2 in Debug mode and im waiting on its arrival so im doin a bit of research to get the image and how to get it up and running for u know what i have already spend an hour or 2 looking around so im not being lazy but im not a genius at this stough so it wud be nice if some1 cud help me out,preferably from Dublin so i know it works fine in my area,much help wud be appreciated thx
