as2002. i had the same problem with my dbox whereby it wouldn't save any of the settings. i've now put a new image on and the box works better than ever. not sure why it happened or how to fix the problem with the current software, but you can change the network settings and then do 'start/restart network now' which will allow you to ftp the new image over to the /temp folder on the dbox. hope this helps

I finally got my d-box working with all channels, last week. Everything worked a treat until this morning. First it stalled, no response to the controler. So I turned it off at the switch and when I turned it back on, nothing. The screen stays blank, the display on the front of the box does not show anything, but when you hit any button on the remote the little red light flashes, so I know that there is still power in there.
    Does anyone have any advice.
    thanks

    Ive done it!!!

If ever you flash the wrong type of image to your dbox2 (e.g 1x to a 2x or vice versa) Then you have to re flash with the right image using a null modem cable an a crossover cable use IFA and it should flash the image....

If anyone needs more details please get in contact...

    Jabulous

    P.s
If anyone as any 1x images please pm me and ill send my email addy to you... Thanks

Something at your pc is blocking the transfer for u-boot.
Winxp firewall or av soft or a other security soft.
