    Something is blocking the transfer for uboot at the pc.
    Mostly a enabled winxp firewall.

    Ive tried all what i can think of, ive disabled all firewalls, disabled all network cards apart from the one i am using for dbox

    still the same problem

    If winxp firewall is enabled you should get an option inside the misc tcpip settings for that card to disable the firewall only for that card.

    Reboot your pc. If you get the same behavior after a reboot it looks like you installed a security software which cannot be switched off. In such a case you have to deinstall that software.

    I have followed the instructions on this site to flash my Dbox2 with a new image. I flashed the tardis image which worked fine until the reboot. The Dbox reset as its supposed to but now just sticks at the boot picture and the bos says loading kernel but doesnt move from there. I cant connect to it to install a new image as wont boot now :0( Anyone PLEASE help as my missus is doing her nut now as kids cant watch it :0(

    Flash it again, or another image. Use IFA since you will not need to connect via FTP software.

    it is software for flashing images onto dboxes. It doesnt need any IP settings and can fix bad images like yours where the box will not boot. get it here

    Very simply to use, connect the crossover cable to the box and unplug it. Browse to your image, start to flash and when prompted you plug in the dbox

    One more thing not sure if I have d/l a german image but it wont let me scan for channels even though is says cableuk sym6887 which is our local net. All the info etc is in english however if I go into setting/network it is either in german or dutch?

    Have I d/l the wrong image? If so where can I d/l an english image.

    hi,
    i puechased my sagem dbox about a year ago and its been working fine until now, i can only the get the free channels at the moment. if i do a service scan the pay channels are there but they are just a blank screen. can anyone help please?

    I definately dont have any other security software installed,yet i still dont know what the problem is

    is there a way to flash without using the Crossover cable but Null Modem Cable Only?

    Are you sure you are using a crossover network cable. The 1:1 wired network cable from your cable modem is not functional for a direct connection between box and pc.

    Its definatly a crossover cable, as ive used it for networking 2 pcs diretly, which requires a crossover cable
