Nokia Dbox2

Remove all splitters and do a scan.
If you get more channels the signal strength is too weak after the splitters and you need a booster at the dbox line if you want to use your splitters.

 

thnx for thew help so do i jus keep the splitter and then attach a booster before plugging in the cable at the dbox and it will be much appreciated if you could guide where i can get a booster thnx

Hi i have 2 dboxs and one is working and the other isnt . the one that isnt working keeps showing up a locked lock. is it just a case of copying over the keys folder from the working dbox to the new one . is there anything else i need to copy

 

Guys if you could take five and pass on some of that knowledge stored up in the blob that is caled the brain,,,, i recieved my sagem d-box 2 today.yipeeee, bought from germany, when i went to do the scan it would only allow me to select from german providers. i also could not select a freq or symb rate it skipped straight to the scan at the bottom. sportster and nutrino are on the box. How do resolve this?? Guys i am a toatl novice so please take it easy on the new guy! Thanks dudes!

Hi all,

I'm completely new here, and am looking at buying a dbox2, I've been reading a lot of the stuff on here, and really just want to check some of the simple things before I take the plunge.

I've seen a Sagem box on an auction site, that has Linux Team Commando 6 on. It says it is compatible with all UK Cable networks, it is in debug mode, and it is set up in English, even has some pics of the menus to show how it looks.

First thing I want to know tho is:- if i buy this will it really be as simple as it says, and just plug it in, scan and enjoy....

Secondly :- How am i best connecting it, I currently have a telewest box, am I best connecting though this with a splitter, or through my telewest broadband modem?

Thirdly:- What exactly do I need to set it up, other than the box, with power lead and remote. I assume i nead a coax cable to go from either modem or current cable box, and a splitter, anything else?

Thanks a lot for any help, anyone can offer, please if you can try to avoid to much technical jargon, although I am quite good with computers and things, I am not well up on technical terms for this kind of thing.

One final thing, do the images that are on the box last forever, or will it need updating, the listing says that - "No cards are required with this box! When the channels are rescrambled by the cable provider, the box can simply update itself" - is this true?

Or at some point will i need to connect it to my computer and flash it, or whatever the term is, as per the guides on here.

guys is there any placei could bring 4 d-box 2 to and get athem flashed with a uk image. I have no real computer expierence and dont want to mess it up. If you know of anywhere that can do this for me it will be appriciated. Thanks.

 

awrite m8 has ur scanning settings got brut force uk on it if so try that u should get 303 chanels in a scan with fast scan set to off

hi guys a small problem here but not sure how to resolve it,after purchasing a d-box 2 in april i scanned it and recieved loads of channels only to find some of them locked e.g childrens channels(locked)documentaries(locked)but spoorts and films all ok is there anyway to unlock them or am i scaning it wrongly,it has the 2007 software on it,thanks.

Anyway, Im trying to find the service and bouquet files for Dublin. Im have a Nokia Box and I am on NTL. Ive tried some of teh links here like Benifas but they dont seem to be working anymore. Can someone please post these files for me or tell me where I can find them - I have tried searching in Google too but to no avail.

Does anyone know if it's ok to connect the cable (telewest) box and the dbox to the same line (using a splitter). The reason I want to do this is because I can't afford another dbox and I'll be able to use the original cable box in my bedroom as I'll be buying the minimum channel package from telewest (virgin). Also can they tell if my original box is connected? Do they call the box up or something to see if I am using it or not just in case I don't want to use the original telewest box in the future.

hey whats up people i bought my booster and i updated my software although on the new software i cannot scroll through the channels using the right button can anyone helpo me with this
