Nokia Dbox2

hello,im new here,but i have had a nokia dbox2 for 2 years now.last night i tried to watch some sports,movies etc,but the chanels are staying black screened.

i done a deep scan,reboted thebox etc,what i usually do when i loss channels,but this time i seem only to be getting certain chanels.I can get only around2 movie chanals(like sky drama hid) and only a couple of sports chanels etc.

there seems to be a signal,as the signal bar is up quite high on nearly all the chanles,but i get a blank screen.the last time this happened ,i lost all the chanels and it said "no epg" so i got a friend to flash it with sportster.

does this sound like i will need to flash my box again?or has a setting been changed by my child?

any help would be appreciated.

it was the cam!

someone shifted it to a crap one...and now i have restored it!!

Hi, New to the forums

I'm borrowing my friends DBox and have some questions if someone can be so kind as to help me.

It is running the Sportster(?) image, setup for UK Telewest, but I think it is running the wrong ucode (is this important?).

When I plug it in I get 280 or so channels listed. About 35% work but the rest have no picture. Do I need to setup keys, or scam, or cams (I don't know what any of these are, or how to set them up).

I did a full scan last night, it took about 15 hours, but I still have the same problem with blank channels.

try changing the cam,press the blue button and then into the sporstster menu,take note of the cam setting so you can restore it ,just incase you make it worse.

when you say you are getting no chanles,is it a blank screen?or does it say "no epg"?

put your dbox on to a chanel thats blank,change the cam,and straight away in the background the picture will come on,if it is the cam thats wrong.

i am having problems with my nokia dbox2

the other day it froze asn wen i turned it back on alot of the channels where blank but still showing the epg

i have rescanned with a few channels return bit the majority still blank

wat is the fix to this problem thank you

im guessing this is a emu problem but how do i fix it

I get No EPG on some channels, others show the EPG but the screen is black. I have noticed the channels that do not work show NAG in the lower right. Channels that work don't have NAG lit.

When I press the blue button all I get is CamD reset. I tried that, but it didn't seem to change anything. What is CAM and where can I configure it?

 

Also, if I go Check ucodes I get this:

Avia 500: avia500v1100
Avia 600: avia600vb022
UCode: ucode_0014
Cam-Alpha: cam_01_02_105D

Is the Cam and UCode correct for South-West UK?

iv tried using the diff cams under the emu selection menu but still no go iv even tried diff ucodes but it still aint helping

also on the chanels that are not working there is a highlighted N icon on the epg

If I press blue I have Sportster Goodies as an option, is that the one? My box has is using German language which doesn't help. I couldn't see where to change cam. What's the exact option?

 

If you've got a Sagem DBox 2, I'd recommend flashing with Tardis. I had the same problems but thanks to "Big Dunc", who persevered with my failings, advised me to flash with Tardis. Only problem I have now is the usual "Freeze Frame" but if I get find out how to change the CAM, perhaps this will solve that.

Tardis Menu
Set emu
Emu selection
You now have three choices .Have a fiddle cant do any harm like this justwrite down how they were in the begining and you can always get back
Also try changing ucodes from 001a to 0014 or visa versa
