Nokia Dbox2

New here, I have Dbox2 Sagem 1 and 2 chip models
I have only flashed with sportster images using FTP.

The Dbox is easy to set up but not as easy as the sellers make out. I would recommend hooking it up to your PC through LAN and taking a look. Its also best to Backup your image this way.

Everytime I have scanned for channels the Box's only pick up around 100 tv and radio channels. I use FTP client to transfer services.xml and Bouquet.xml (for your area)to the correct folder to get all the channels. This I do as it is a weak signal area. Never scan for channels if you have the option as you may lose alot of channels (also cable companies switch location of channels so they may disappear, just update your services.xml).

The box's have in them Rom images (cards) i.e rom3 rom7 rom10 and rom11 (card types) I believe. When keys roll, card images trip up and so original box's go down (they only have one rom image "the Card")Dbox can switch card types and choose where to get it's keys.

At present on cable it seems most roms are down i.e Rom10 and Rom11 cards (images) are most popular and have been hit. I think switching from one cam to another on dbox, turns on or off rom images or changes the way they are handled. At present cable companies have changed the actual code within the cards instead of just the keys.

Rom7 is currently being used on the Dbox as the code is less complicated and deals with the EMMs.

It's probably not correct completely but it's how I see it at present. also do a search on yahoo or google for Bigmaq toolbar you might find it useful!

 

** MISSING/BLACK CHANNELS? **

If you're missing channels hunt simply out an already modified UK image. Flash your box with that and all your troubles shouds evaporate away.

 

It is a Sagem box running Sportster but in english

Hope you can help. Just reflashed my nokia dbox2 with command 8.2 and for some reason it will not decode any channels just says waiting to decode in the little menu above the program name.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you inserted the missing files
Anything after comm 6 will only pick up free to air channels
Unless you add the missing Files
I beleive the files are in the download section

hey guys

ntl seem to have done something over the past weekend and my channels are unreliable at best and just gone at worst.
are there any updated keys about and if so where or is there something else i can do?

I love the Dbox2, but still learning how to use it.
I have downloaded a huge list of Service.xlm files for the whole of the UK, but can not find one for the High Wycombe area. Could any one please suggest a cable area that might match, or even point me in the direction of a suitable service.xlm ?

Hi guys, moving from Sportster 1.7 to Commando 8.2, with an image without keys etc. Only getting FTA channels on NTL Dublin, so, if anyone can point me in the right direction to an image with everything included/working, that'd be great!

Otherwise:
I've copied the keys folder from my Sportser image to the DBox running commando.
Mucked around with the UCodes (001a).
Copied over bouquets.xlm and cable.xml
Performed brute force scans etc.

Getting a vertical line on the right hand side of the screen on some channels, and only receiving FTA.. Any advice greatly appreciated!

 

Was wondering if anyone could help me,im on de chorus cable in limerick, ireland,have a sagem dbox2 flashed commando 6,everything went according to plan,but when i put de irish cables file into var/tuxbox/config/zapit unpluged the box waited a few seconds,pluged it back in i dont get option to scan with de irish networks just brute scan uk(which picks up 10 stations) and sym6887 and another but cant pick up de stations any advice for a newbie

 

Just to let you know I've just got another sagem 1x box from germany with latest sportster image. I put in my services and bouquet files but had nothing. this is all i have done in the past and it worked fine but this time nothing.

I transfered the keys from an existing image (as they I read they are removed for legal reasons) and still nothing. I decided to search the image for the newcamd and evocamd etc.

I couldn't find alot of files so i reflashed with a working 1x image. Everything is fine now.

Just be aware that even images I downloaded didn't work. seemed to me to be more than just keys missing.

 

Does anyone know how much these IDE kits are?

I have a nokia dbox2 running commando 6.2 - are these images good with HD's like this?

How about installtion / fiiting instruction - is it possible to get it in English?

Finally - how do I confirm which version of the Nokia Dbox2 I have - i see the IDE kit's on the german site are available for revision 1 and revision 2 - or does this relate to the IDE kit itself?

You will need a newer image to make use of the IDE functionality.
Cost without HD is around 74 euro.
