hey can anyone help me with turning off audio description and could you help me by telling me how to a put a child lock on adult channels

I have just bought a DBOX2 from fleabay (Germany) and even after having gone through all the tutorials I could find, I am unable to get this box to work. I understand I need the 'keys' for Virgin Media to gether with the services and bouguests for gateshead but i can't seem to find them any where. Is there any chance that one of you learned ones can supply me with them, or even suggest where I can get them?

Wot image is on the box when it first starts up wot does it say

Thanks for this, I can acess the service menu, change channels & the picture when I reboot is an American Cannon from the west with a big moon in the backgroung, I also lost nearly of all the movie channels know all . Thanks Dunc

 

Paul, its a nokia Dbox 2 I have tried to to a scan on fast mode & it will not even scan now.

 

Yes, its a two intel chip Nokia. I have no problems with telneting and/or ftping into the box and not new to linux. The preloaded image was sportster pro but I was thinking of replacing it with commando 8.x. I did do a scan, it found a about two hundred channels but I cant't access them. Not sure what is missing!

wen you say check connections how do i do that mate

 

Try it on evocam ucode 001a
Just have a fiddle with the cams and ucodes mate
cant do any harm
And you can always put your backup mtd4 image on
If anything goes wrong .Lets know ...............paul

This one goes out to yall,, just figured out how to flash, at last!! YIPEE but some of the channels stick and skip quite frequently oh and they make a squeeking type noise when it happens. Do any of you guys have any idea of the cause of this and a possible solution? Also does everyone agree that this thread is the mutts nuts, keep it up dudes.

 

change your emu mate and/or ucode.that will stop freezing issues in most cases.
001a and mgcam combi is very stable on most images.

Just change the EVOCAM code to 001a. Thanks Chris, I'll let you know if it works.

 

Chris how do you get in to change these settings? Im running out of hair to pull out!!! So close to getting this thing up and running...

 

mate...it depends on your image...but normally..

press dbox button..
usually its option 4 ...extras ?
there u will have
set emu...to mgcam
and then set ucode..to 001a
play with both them settings ..
try
emu...mgcam
ucode..001a

let it restart and give it a few minutes to decode...then bobs your uncle

Chris, Thanks for the help. I have a sagem box. i set the u code easy enough. EMU just has EVOCAM, EVOCAM alternate no MGCAM should this be an available setting or am i missing something. If anyone has any ideas? Thanks. Absolutly belting down rain again!!!! Where is our god damn summer!!!
