Worked on my DBox2 you guys are all legends,

My nokia dbox2 has suddenly lost all the channels except terrestorial. I rebooted it but no result then I scanned and still the same result. I am living in East London Area (Essex). Has Virgin-media changed the keys of the Area? Anybody can Guide me for solution? Do I need to change keys? If so what are the codes and how to do it with remote? Thanks

 

I have checked keylist.txt in Tuxbox commander and on screen /var/keys/kelist.txt I found the following latest code as follows;

5C 01 00 ED 74 1E 7A 5F 7B 6040 ; ROM11 AU key ..Tue 8.4.2008
5C 01 00 ED 74 1E 7A 5F 6B 7040 ; ROM10 AU key ..Tue 8.4.2008

Which figures do I need to change to get the positive result that is channels to view? Thanks

i have managed to get into the key listtext screen.

the two codes are shown as follows

what are the revised codes for the Dbox.

not quite shure why the auto update has failed this time.

hi yours are really differant from what they was have you re scanned it ?

 

Those codes are exactly what I have in my system which also dont work. I'm in an old n*l area in South Wales. I did try a rescan early yesterday evening? Is that a major problem and if so is it easily sorted?

hi i just sorted mine out about 15mins ago i rescanned lost all channels just black screen,all i did was replace the bouquet and services with backed up ones on laptop then went to the key list copyed that to the laptop edited it in note pad then sent it back to the dbox unpluged it then everything back n workin,there is also a guide to do it on the remote a few posts back down the forum,use any method you like n suits you.
i have my keylist in the link if you do it by pc just dwn ld it copy it to dbox

my dbox2 is back on .im in merseyside and used the codes in the eurovox forum and oggnoggs instuctions. cheers guys.

 

Hi, my Nokia dbox 2 stopped working last night just a black screen, anyone give me a simple guide how to get it working again please? I use the Andromeda image

 

My area is Great Yarmouth norfolk, virgin

 

While im on lad i may as well as well ask! I am running nuetrino on my dbox with sportster 1.75 i think it is, is there any other image worth putting on as im starting to get abit annoyed with the audio description on some of te channels and not bein able to turn it off!! cheers lads

i have been scanning and re booting so these are the only ones on the screen.

i have downloaded your new keys. do i insert the complete code inc rom and date? i will have to do it via the remote control as i dont know how to do it via the pc yet. my existing boquet list and epg is working fine just no picture.

i know ur busy but appreciate a bit of further help.

I had exactly the same thing on mine, but I managed to get rid of it by changing the key settings. The green button used to turn the radio on but by messing around it now allows me to turn the audio description off. Sorry that I cant remember exactly what I did, (long time ago), but it was deffo along the lines of changing the key settings, (the green button specifically).

BTW, I'm on exactly the same image.

 

just edit the long number the code that begins 00 thats the only 1 i changed read the remote post further up the forum posted by oggnogg who was the 1st person to post all this helpful info and advice

 

these are my keys they are working fine preston lancs

thnaks turner but what were your old codes as he only changes one number in the code.

i dont know if your area codes arethe same as mine.im in surrey

thats all i did was change 1 letter to a number it was 7b to 73 ? then i copyed it back to the dbox and was all ok every channel is on now try change then to what i posted see how you get on ?
