OMG - PLEEEAASE don't pay 20 quid to flash a Dbox - it's not difficult! If u can switch on a PC you can flash a Dbox if you follow the guide.

 

Flash one of the latest images and select the right option in the scan menue. TW is sym6952.
If a cable engineer resorted the tabs in the street box you maybe need a booster.

 

I have a Nokia Dbox2 went on the blink I sent it to Germany for repair when I got it back it is set up for German system.
Can anyone help set it up for UK/Ireland

 

You need to rescan the box

 

I have tried to flash the system but it is not putting any new programe on the system. Iam trying to load Sportster 1.7 but it does not appear to load. Still looking for anyhelp available.

I have Uploaded the cables.xml to /var/tuxbox/config,but how do I get rid of the German Cable Provider searches and activate my local area only i.e Cable Provider CableUK sym6952

 

On main menu
1.press 6 or goto service
2.green button or servicescan
3.cable provider then press ok button until you see Cableuk Sym6887.

All that works fine for me.
