Does anyone know of a Windows DVD player software that doesn't need to be installed to work? Kind of like "Portable Firefox"? Is there a kludge or DIY to turn PowerDVD or WinDVD into a "portable" DVD player that will pretty much work on a Windows (200o/XP) box?

Failing that I guess I could figure out how to find a linux live-cd and shoehorn a DVD player into there, perhaps with WINE, who knows... I'd like to think of that as an experimental or last resort option.

    Three options come to mind.
    1) Media Player Classic
    2) mplayer
    3) VLC
