Hey, does anyone know if there's anyway to burn an AVI to DVD with subtitles, but have the option to turn them off and on? All of what I've found seems to have the subtitles stuck there permanently. Any ideas anyone? Thanks

DVD Video has support for separate subtitle streams (you must have seen this on originals). You just need to use an authoring package that supports them. Easiest is probably ConvertXtoDVD, since you are going to need to convert anyway.

If you have an AVI as download, than most likely subtitles are encoded into the file and you will not be able to turn them off.
If your AVI has no subtitles and you create them, than most DVD authoring software will let you make a menu where you can turn them ON or OFF. One software like that is DVD Lab. For subtitle edit DVD SubEdit, SubtitleCreator.
