I'm getting a nice collection of movie files and would now like to back them up to CD.
Just my luck that the majority are between 720 & 766MB and would rather have them each on one 700MB disk. By getting rid of the before and after credits I could save 40 - 50MG, making most files just right.
Can you tell me what software and the method to follow to edit this unneccesary paet of the movie file.

    Thanks for any help,
    Swog.

Wrong forum. For movies issues, go to http://forums.afterdawn.com/forum_view.cfm/40 .
Anyway, this is a CD-ROM question, so I'll answer you. A "80' CD-ROM" contains 800 megs movie, not 700 MB! Only 'data CD-ROM' contain 2048 byte/sector! A CD-R contains 2336 bytes/sector movies and CD burned from images 2352 bytes/sector! "80' CD-R" means in truth '360,000 sectors CD' (old 74' CD-R = 330,000 sectors CD). By doing some multiplication (data=2048, movies=2336, raw images/audio=2352) you find the maximum size of the stuff you can put in it. Othewise, why could you put 80' songs (since a minute of WAV = 10.2 megs ?) in a "80' CD"?
