i am a complete noob. i have TMPGEnc, but have no clue how to use it. any idiot guides avalibale? i got a another converting program called Ulead DVD movieFactory, which i heard is suppose to do a good job with converting avi files to dvd or vcd. i dont see any option in the program for converting files. all i see is "Capture Video" Author Menus" "Burn Disc Images" "Make CD Labels and Covers". perhaps i have the wrong version? thanks
Ok, what are you looking to do with TMPGEnc? If you want to create vcds, then its one of the best. And with DVD Movie Factory it will do the converting at the very end..You just load in your AVI file and set up your Chapters and Menu"s and stuff and at the very end it will convert the files for you But the Quality will not be anywere near Tmpgenc, But you can author the Tmpgenc files to VCD and SVCD and DVD useing DVD movie Factory....Cheers
