I have copyied almost 700 movies and until now I have never got an error like this.
When thrying to copy 007 - Diamonds are Forever, You Only Live Twice, The Spy who loved me and other old titles I got the following message: [bold]The player is incompatible with the region mark of this disc[bold/].
The worst of all is that this message is displayed not only on any DVD player I try but also on my PC with DVD Region Free or Any DVD activated.
When I decript the DVD to my HD I can watch all the VOB files with no problem. Once I create an ISO image of burn it on a DVD the message comes and I can not watch the movie.
Does any one has any idea how to solve this problem?

Thanks a lot for your help,

    Carleiras

Have you tried just ripping it with plain old Shrink by itself, this should make the file region free after the rip/transcode?

Hey Guys, I followed [bold]arniebear[bold\] tip and it worked just fine. I had been a long since I last used DVDSHRINK I prefer ConeDVD2 (better image quality). The difference between my case and the tip is that after I choosed "Backup" on DVDSHRINK a windown warning about R.C.E protection appeared.
Please remember that using DVD Region+CCS Free or Any DVD latest versions did not overcome this protection.
I rented another version of the same movie and this protection was not present on the disk. It has been the first time I saw such protection on a DVD here in Brazil.
Anyway, thanks a lot for the help! Below is the R.C.E screen.

Strange that AnyDvd would not detect and remove the RCE protection, did for my Region1 Goldeneye.

Summary for drive D: (AnyDVD 6.0.5.0)
    Drive (Hardware) Region: 1

    Media is a Data DVD.
    Booktype: dvd-rom (version 1), Layers: 2 (parallel)

Total size: 3969859 sectors (7753 MBytes)

Video DVD (or CD) label: GOLDEYEX
    Media is CSS protected!
    Video Standard: NTSC
Media is locked to region(s): 1!

    Found & removed RCE protection!
DVD structure appears to be correct.
    Structural copy protection not found.
Autorun not found on Video DVD.
    Bad sector protection not found.
Emulating RPC-2 drive with region 1!

    @carleiras

Glad it worked out for you and you got your backup, I have not seen the screen you got because all mine are from my Region. Sometimes the simplest way is the easiest and works out the best...happy burning :)
