Hello! I tried using Nero Vision (from nero 7 premium) to burn a 700mb .avi file. It seemed to burn well, then about 5 minutes before it finished, i got a message, something like "there is not enough room to add the directories, please insert another disk". I had to press cancel, and the film didn't burn properly and won't work in my dvd player. I was wondering what this message means; if anyone else has had it, or how to avoid it? Here is my log of the most recent burn: Windows XP 5.1 IA32 WinAspi: - ahead WinASPI: File 'C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\Core\Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=2.0.1.74, size=164112 bytes, created 02/11/2004 13:54:32 NT-SPTI used Nero API version: 7.2.0.3 Using interface version: 7.0.5.6 Installed in: C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\Core\ Application: ahead\NeroVision Internal Version: 7, 2, 0, 3 Recorder: <HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GSA-2164D>Version: 1.01 - HA 1 TA 2 - 7.2.0.3 Adapter driver: <USB 2.0> HA 1 Drive buffer : 2048kB Bus Type : set to ATAPI (3) -> ATAPI, detected: ? === Scsi-Device-Map === DiskPeripheral : Maxtor 6Y080L0 atapi Port 0 ID 0 DMA: On CdRomPeripheral : TSSTcorp DVD-ROM TS-H352C atapi Port 1 ID 0 DMA: On CdRomPeripheral : IDE-CD R/RW 4x4x32 atapi Port 1 ID 1 DMA: Off === CDRom-Device-Map === TSSTcorp DVD-ROM TS-H352C D: CDRom0 IDE-CD R/RW 4x4x32 E: CDRom1 HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GSA-2164D F: CDRom2 ======================= AutoRun : 1 Excluded drive IDs: WriteBufferSize: 74448896 (0) Byte BUFE : 0 Physical memory : 509MB (522224kB) Free physical memory: 296MB (303624kB) Memory in use : 41 Uncached PFiles: 0x0 Use Inquiry : 1 Global Bus Type: default (0) Check supported media : Disabled (0) 4.8.2006 NeroAPI 14:25:39 #1 Phase 111 File APIProgress.cpp, Line 278 DVD-Video files sorted 14:25:40 #2 Text 0 File ThreadedTransfer.cpp, Line 531 ReadBuffer-Pipe got 262144KB of Memory 14:25:40 #3 Text 0 File Reader.cpp, Line 124 Reader running 14:25:40 #4 ISO9660GEN -11 File Geniso.cpp, Line 3312 First writeable address = 0 (0x00000000) 14:25:40 #5 ISO9660GEN -11 File Geniso.cpp, Line 3312 First writeable address = 0 (0x00000000) 14:25:40 #6 Text 0 File Burncd.cpp, Line 3365 Turn on Disc-At-Once, using DVD media 14:25:57 #7 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 289 Last possible write address on media: 2295103 (510:01.28, 4482MB) Last address to be written: 2554047 (567:33.72, 4988MB) 14:25:57 #8 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 301 Write in overburning mode: NO (enabled: CD) 14:25:57 #9 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 2715 Recorder: HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GSA-2164D Medium not present 14:25:57 #10 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 473 >>> Protocol of DlgWaitCD activities: <<< ========================================= Not enough free discspace. Nero API version: 7.2.0.3 Using interface version: 7.0.5.6 That version is "buggy" plus I see that you have updated which for some reason doesn't work properly. I suggest using version 7.0.8.2. I recommend uninstalling and running this clean tool to remove all traces of nero: http://www.nero.com/nero7/eng/Nero_7_Clean_Tool.html Then install version 7.0.8.2 from here: http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845 Do not install the one you bought and then update. Just download this and enter your cdkey which will give you a full version.
