I recently redid my computer. Somehow I now get this error (in interactual) whenever i try to play a dvd (new ones, not copies):

Error PL4013: Playback failed due to a problem with the video subsystem. You may be using an unsupported display mode or your system may not have a working decoder installed. Please ensure that your DVD decoder is functioning properly by launching it from Start | Programs. Click “Help Online” for details on how to correct this problem.

It would seem that my pc has lost its dvd codecs, somehow. before I purchase anything, anyone have any advice? i've redone my pc a million times and this is a first for me.

    thanks!!

to continue- i CAN play dvds when using dvdshrink, but i have to go through that interface, which i'd rather not have to do.
