    Hi all,

I have DVD decrypter and dvdshrink

I used dvd decrypter and it decrypts the files to a folder on my HDD under a folder nmae C:\DVD_Video

then I open DVD Shrink and click on OPEN files and I get a message Can not open Video_TS.ifo file but I don't have an ifo file -

    What dvd decrypter produced was

    dvd.video.Ioo
    dvd.video.I01
    dvd.video.MDS and

some more files but no IFO

    I am totally lost.

    Would appreciate any help.

    Thanks.

It sounds like you ripped in the iso mode, so you need to open the files in dvd shrink by clicking "file"(not open files)open disc image...then choose the mds file.
    good luck

open your DVD decrypter. Go to tools- File Mode- make sure it is set at main movie only, exit out. Then go to Mode- and put it to File. Now put your movie in and it should show on the right the main movie files highlighted. Its ready to rip. When its done close it out then open your shrink. Instead of clicking "open file" click ReAuthor. Find your Video file and click on it, then it should show main title. Then drag it to the left and should work from there. here goes a link to help you out- http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/

ummmm why does he have to re-rip?What if he wants some of the extra's?
Try my way first, sounds like you must have the fat32 file system, that has a 4gb limit, so dvd decrypter splits that file in 2 dvd.video.Ioo dvd.video.I01.
You can change it over after this one, if youd like, but I dont think its necessary to re-do this one, unless you get an error.

Thank you all for your responses.

I did the decrypting again, this time I ended up with an MDS file but I can not open it in DVD Shrink even if I use FILE _ OPEN.

It seems I can only open iso, nrg or img files.

There isn't a way to change it to all files ?

    I am lost.

I really do not mind redoing it again. I would like to learn.

I would like to find an easy step by step way to decrypt and use dvd shrink for larger files or for all files.

Any help would be appreciated again.

    Thanks.

I think I did it in ISO mode, what else should have I done ?

If you wanna redo it then click on mode..and check file...after your rip is done, then you should be able to open those files in dvd shrink by using the open files option.
If you rip in the iso mode, then you click on "file" at the very top left and choose..open disc image.

If this isnt a newer movie, with the new encryptions, then you can rip with dvd shrink alone, just by clicking on "open disc"

The DVD that I am trying to burn is around 8 gigs.

This time I use DVD Decrypter in ISO - read

As it was doing the decrypter it shows destination to be c:\DVD_video.ISO

Yet when it was finished I ended up with 3 files on the C:\
    DVD.VIDEO_I00
    DVD.VIDeO_I01
    DVD. Video.MDS

Then I open DVD Shrink and I can not open any of these files ?

It might be in the settings of my software but I would not know what to look for. Perhaps I should reload both software ?

    Any idea ?

    Thanks.

Now I am trying the suggestion by Adouble11

Went to Tools - File Mode - it was on Main Movie

I am now decrypting on Mode-File

    I will keep you posted-

Probably will not get it done until tomorrow evening.

    Thanks a lot all.

I think this is going to work.

I was able to open the Video_TS file in DVD Shrink and it is now burning.

    Thanks a lot.

    Will keep you posted tomorrow.
