Not realy a good benchmark though, since at any decent resolution, nobody can play Crysis.

800x600 on a 42" screen looks absolutely abysmal.

SO GET THIS... I called HP support about what video cards they recommend and in their broken Indian English they gave me a couple of cards and I asked them if I had to upgrade the power supply with these cards and they swore I didnt...

    ARE THEY CRAZY???

    GEFORCE 8400GS 256MB
    7600DS X1650
    or Radeon X1650 512mb

do you guys think I can have one of these cards without having to upgrade my cheesy power supply? I will eventually upgrade it but I wont have the money to do both at the same time.

    What do you think?

Any half-decent 250W power supply can run a PC with one of those graphics cards.
The question is, is the HP power supply half-decent?

Then it boils down to what the rest of the hardware is.
160W will man an 8400GS and Core 2 Duo E6750, 2GB of RAM and two hard disks at full load assuming the CPU is not overclocked. Anything more than this though, and you're pushing it.

Great, I will get that card and keep my fingers crossed. I only have one hard drive now so we should be okay -- I will just plan on getting a power supply some other day and commit to never buying a tiny case again.

Computers aren't good gifts for anybody who uses them a lot, because it's important to get something decent...

yup newest stuff is best and anything over a year old is crap is what i'm told, build your own from ground up with 8 gig memory, the best video cards that you can get, etc. etc. i have a friend that has one he built. cost him $2300 w/out his 32 inch lcd. best thing i ever used. runs games faster and comp is cool to the touch. it's awesome. pci express stuff is junk. especially the nvidia 6150 se. agp is the only way to go. especially when using 2 of em.

Do NOT come to our forums to troll false information. We've worked hard over the years to provide honest feedback to people, so when retards like yourself come along and undo it, it's not appreciated. Kindly GTFO.

    Not always.
Most of my PC is over a year old, and it will beat the living daylights of your PC.

    Yes
    No

Depends what you define as best. Right now I'd recommend the HD3870 over the 8800GTX. It's not faster, but IMO it's a better product.

Is this a brag about budget? I find it shocking you could spend that much on a PC - anything above $1500 is almost certainly a waste.

    Mind posting the specs then?

    False.
    True.
    False
Dual/Triple/Quad graphics suck, and aren't compatible with AGP anyway.

Not bad, a maximum of three out of your nine facts are complete nonsense.

Oooh, a bit harsh there huh?

Well maybe he wasn't trolling, just mis-informed?

I'm doubtful anyone is that misinformed.
