Keep in mind how many future titles will be built on the Doom 3 engine though :)

Well that is really the biggest reason ID makes games like Doom 3 - to show off the engine so they can sell it.

And WHAT an engine, it's really something...
(Have played my way through to 'Hell' - medium difficulty not so easy anymore!)
You've gotta be crazy to buy a new vidcard right now.
    Wait until Jan.2005 or so.
People buying these cards newly-released, for 500-600-700 dollars, are gonna feel foolish when the previous generation disappears and prices fall by 1/2.
Could be either nVidia or ATI though... (I'll let ya know :)

Keep 'em running good! PCs run the marathon, not a sprint...

lol when my friend tried to overclock his RAM (PC2100) he got from 266mhz to 267mhz. 268 meant it failed. But then he was using really cheap stuff.

Is there any point having RAM faster than your front side bus though? Because my FSB is 333, and i have PC2700.

Well he is a Moderator - his job is to Moderate the forum.

This is an nVidia v ATI thread - it will spiral out of control if it becomes a "General Hardware" thread.

If he didn't say something the forum would become a mess.
