ny1 know y,my ipod not turn on...

    hi,
    recently my sister charged the ipod on half a battery or less(but it wasnt empty) and when she went in the morning she just pulled the wire out and voila! it not turn on now...i have a 20gb clour screen ipod.damn im gutted if i have to ship a battery in to the uk...

    Have you tried putting it back on charge? or hooking it up to your computer? if you manage to hook it up to your PC then locate the ipod updater and restore (erase) your whole ipod and then re-install the software/music. =)

    hi,
    lethal, i tried ur advice and sorry nop...the computer not even locate the ipod and usually when u connect it it says "dnt disconnect" no luck...(lol,mite get my sita to buy me the new video ipod,wish me lukc lol)...got anyother ideas. ive also tried to charge it but nuthing cme up...

    Hold the menu and middle key down for about 11 seconds.. this should reset the unit.

    hi,
    yeh sorry no ive held it on for about a minute...do u thnik im gonna have to ship a new battery in or pay for it to fixed again?got ny other ideas?

    no here is what may have happend check to see if the hold button is turned on

    that will cause it not to power up for sure


    but if this doesn't work it will cost you 100.00 to get the battery replaced

    BOMBAYBOY - Reset your iPod, then press & Hold the 'Menu' & 'Play/Pause' Buttons together for 6 seconds as soon as the apple logo appears. This will put the iPod into disk mode & force it to mount. Then you can restore it :)
