does ANY FREE ocr apps work in the following way--- open app, scan a printed doc into the app using the apps "aquirre " or import tab, then manually or auto converting it into a pdf. docx, odt, open office default. the app would then allow me to send the scanned doc into OO so I can open it and edit it. in the alternative a FREE word processor that INCLUDES OCR so that a scanned doc is auto converted to an editable format in the processor, opened and edited. or a second alternative would be the reverse, an OCR app with built in word processor. recommendations please. I have found none that works the way I want.
