Flawles - 6/10 Spiderwick Chronicles - 9/10 The Grand - 5/10 The Air I Breathe - 7/10 Drill Bit Taylor - 7/10 Vantage Point - 7/10 - really undecided, but I decided to give it a 7. The Other Boleyn Girl - 8/10 Flawless, not bad for a low budget flick Spiderwick, really suprised me, did not think I would have enjoyed it as much as I did. The Air I Breath, Did'nt ring my bells but was ok. The Grand, have not seen it yet. Drill Bit Taylor, Did'nt like it, and normally I like all his movies. Boleyn Girl, I love history, and have been really paying attention to Henry ever since The Tudors, thing is every time you read or watch, everybody has different facts on this King.
That's about the run of it Forgetting Sarah Marshall 5/10 -forgettable Hancock -- I don't even want to give it a 1. With Samuel L Jackson it might just have worked. Poor Will Smith. 2 unsuitable films in a year.
Yea, I've read and heard that movie was just horrible. Will Smith's career could be coming to an end? I watched Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins last night, I gave it a 10. If you like Martin Lawrence, James Earl Jones, Mike Epps, Cedric The Entertainer, and Michael Clark Duncan, then you will love this movie. It was filled with non stop laughs.
Went to see Journey to the Center of the Earth today and thought it was a good entertaining flick. Brenden Frazier plays his usual bumbling stud type character and it works for him. Good (unbelievable) action and decent story. I guess it must have been pretty good because it seemed short to me. Anywho, on with the ratings of movies I've watched recently: Otis 2/10 (sorry 7thsinger, it didn't get entertaining until the girl escaped) Street Kings 5/10 Ruins 2/10 The Brave One 7/10 Journey/Earth 8/10 Spiderwick 6/10 Vantage Point 7/10
I watched the Ruins last night, it wasnt all that bad, I know the slasher movies are really getting boring but at least it kept my attention. Oh man you saw Journey, I'm jelous, I dont go to movies any more and I got to wait for the DVD, but I loved the original when I was kid, it fascinated the hell out of me, I hope this one will do the same.
Just a quickie.. 2 films which you might not have heard of. The search for one-eyed Jimmy 8/10.. low budget it seems, and a very silly story. Sample People 7/10.. Odd thing from Australia with some great parts and a lot of unknown people.. "Don't be dissin me sandwich mate!" classic. Look for both in the bargain bins or second hand. You won't be disappointed by either.
I love good unknown movies, I tried a search for both, The search for one-eyed Jimmy and Sample people, mostly if you cant get a search on Amazon its usually not out there, Amazon had posters for it but not the movie, I did find Sample people on Amazon and read the review, it really sounded good, I mostly get my movies from blockbuster but forget it they dont carry either one, I even checked with netflix they dont have them either, oh well I gave it a shot.
I usually come across both either in bargain bins or the pawn shop places. Keep your eyes open for them, they are about at £0.99p or less as for jimmy.. people seem to like it a lot http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0117577/ The dvd may be hard to find in the US.. but we can coma to an arrangement as both seem long out of manufacture.. ( I can always indulge in a little shenanagins http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0117577/board/nest/71126258
I see one-eye jimmy is for sale on the amazon uk site. Now, to see if they ship to the us. Good thing I bought a region free dvd player a few years ago.
I saw Hellboy 2: The Golden Army this weekend and thought it was pretty good. Actually liked it better then the first one. Not so much sap and a lot more action! Oh and The Ruins...I never laughed so hard at a "monster" before. Couldn't believe they wasted their time making that piece of crap!! ha ha
Watched Grandma's Boy sunday afternoon. Loved the pot & low brow humor. I can never look at Shirley Jones (Mrs. Partridge) the same way again after this movie. 8/10
"My room mates said it was ok if you stayed the night..." "You mean your parents?" LMFAO! I love that movie, good times...
