If you look in the "guide and tutorials" section here http://modthatcube.pxn-os.org/main.htm there will be a tutorial on how to do it. I did it right after I installed my Xeno GC and my GC laser has been working like a dream.

    Good luck.

Before we go any further, what brand of DVD+R's are you using? That could be the problem.

You should see if there is anybody you could borrow a DMM from, but if not, you can adjust it by turning it counter-clockwise a LITTLE BIT at a time, and testing it. Until you notice a difference. Just remember a TINY bit at a time. Overdoing it could burn out your laser. And that would suck.

The two games I burnt to a DVD+R (Maxell) have worked flawlessly. Its a few of the RiTek mini DVD-Rs that im having a problem with. Some of those work fine, but some give me that error screen. The screen doesnt say a disc problem, it tells me to contact nintendo or something. Ill try to grab a DMM tommorrow (My uncle may of left one of his here, so ill check that possibilty out too)

you will have to tweak the pot if u want to run those media that u cant. 180-220 is the best range.

But some of the mini DVD-Rs work while others dont. Im sure it was just the burn.

if i were u, i wouldnt try to do anything else except use those media that work.

usually its because the laser isnt powerful enough to read the dye thats y it doesnt boot(assuming u did the same burning method even for those that dont work).

i modded my gc with duo q just 3 days ago and i only used verbatim on it. it played fine at first but 2 of the 4 games needed more than 1 try to get it recognized to boot.

the day after, it had alot of DREs(some 5mins into the game) and asked me to contact nintendo too. so, i took it out and decreased the POT ohms from 220 to 200 and used alcohol on the lens. it is now working fine.

it doesnt mean that your laser is weak or anything, but sometimes have to tweak it to get those media to work.

Alright, I used a DMM I got from my teacher today (nice guy) and adjusted it to 220 ohms. It read some of the troublesome discs, but not two. One I dont care about, and the other one I am pretty sure burnt wrong, saying there are weird lines on the bottom of the disc.

Cool. I would still try adjusting it down a bit though, while you have the chance. Like the guide says, between 170-210 ohms. I think you'll save yourself a lot of needless DRM's in the future if you do that.

That's a nice gamelist you have. btw.
