The subject says it all. I put together and old IBM 730/750 PC for some friends of less means, as a way to get on the net... learn how to screw a computer up... you know, the basics for beginners.
I haven't had any problems up to this point. Gave a clean formated hard drive, intalled Windows 98SE and good spyware and virusware...
I tried the Verbatim out of my system and a HP IDE out of a friends system and cannot get Windows to load the drivers I want.
I don't even know if thats the problem. Everything else works fine. CDRom works out good but I cannot get this system to recognize a burner.
    Is it the processor?
    I know it's old (Pentium 166 mhz 64k Ram)
Is this the problem? Like I said, everything else has installed and ran fine.

    I feel like an idiot.
Using Nero and didn't have a blank in the burner.
    That was the error.
    Thanks.
