There is some new firmware released today dated 17th May, don't know what it does or does not, maybe an Ireland fix?

I have had a look at a Starview HD Combo+ connected to their server, there is no expiry date listed unlike the spiderbox which does. Maybe the Starview is not going to expire, I have not heard anything official either way, just rumours.

There is a thread on another forum suggesting that if a box won't authenticate, just change the MAC address, that would suggest that if the access does expire, then changing the MAC address would allow the box to re-connect - so maybe the access does not expire?

Changing the mac wont work as its the ip of the box that will not allow you to connect do you think starview are stupid the expiry date will expire at the end of 12 mts on the cable side anyway not on the sat side as you can change you cline on that.

The new firmware release is not for Ireland but will work there as well when they go public but for the time being its for the Uk market.

Whats stopping us in Ireland from buying a Kryptview and iconnect box now from a UK website?
    What does "go public mean"?
Are we waiting on an Irish firmware version or something like the setting up of a server to handle Irish boxes(IP's)?

There is nothing stopping you from buying anything BUT it will not work here at the present time when the uk is sorted fully they will then sort Ireland out as well until then you just have to wait thats all nothing to do with software

N3 can be got round with i-connect

No. You should have been issued a new card by your cable company in order to facilitate the change over to N3.

No m8 you will need a new box none of the new boxes take cards same as the other ones dont either only your subbed box.

The kryptview box you get you will need a iconnector with it and to your BB and your cable job done once you put the software on the box
