There is some new firmware released today dated 17th May, don't know what it does or does not, maybe an Ireland fix? I have had a look at a Starview HD Combo+ connected to their server, there is no expiry date listed unlike the spiderbox which does. Maybe the Starview is not going to expire, I have not heard anything official either way, just rumours. There is a thread on another forum suggesting that if a box won't authenticate, just change the MAC address, that would suggest that if the access does expire, then changing the MAC address would allow the box to re-connect - so maybe the access does not expire?
Hi guys anybody tell me if I get a kryptview and iconnect will it work in Limerick orjust on ntl in Dublin as always thanks to all
Changing the mac wont work as its the ip of the box that will not allow you to connect do you think starview are stupid the expiry date will expire at the end of 12 mts on the cable side anyway not on the sat side as you can change you cline on that. The new firmware release is not for Ireland but will work there as well when they go public but for the time being its for the Uk market.
when its fully operational it will work all over Ireland just sit tight Uk is getting sorted now and ireland will be next
Whats stopping us in Ireland from buying a Kryptview and iconnect box now from a UK website? What does "go public mean"? Are we waiting on an Irish firmware version or something like the setting up of a server to handle Irish boxes(IP's)?
There is nothing stopping you from buying anything BUT it will not work here at the present time when the uk is sorted fully they will then sort Ireland out as well until then you just have to wait thats all nothing to do with software
But it will be the exact same hardware. wont it? Are you sayin the UK is on a sort of trial run or test to see how it goes.
nope it is working in the Uk no problem it also works in Ireland 100% its just not made public at this time it will be very soon same hardware just a few changes need to be made to Ireland that is the only difference wont go into it to much as an open forum is not good you understand
I live in north east England my provider is NTL its just gone to nagra 3 will this box work for me? and what would I have to do to get it to work? simply conect it to my modem
you were told the other day, yes it will work, this or the SV6, but got for the ICONNECT with the Kryptview
it will work in all areas that are effected by the new encryption Go to iconnect facebook page as per the link below and get in touch with them http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=100001083720269&ref=profile
spotted this thread today im in a part of the uk listed as n3 - but my starview 3 is still working. for now . so if some1 could answer this for me ide apreciate. N3 can be got round with i-connect and the krypt box ? im assuming this is in a test phaze or fully working ? or can the i-connect be attatched to a s/view 3 box ..
1 what part of the Uk are you in ? takes 2/3 weeks to change over after you receive your new card N3 can be got round with i-connect and the krypt box ? ====== yes im assuming this is in a test phaze or fully working ? ==== fully working or can the i-connect be attatched to a s/view 3 box .. ====== NO
hay e45 what did u mean by your new card ? and im in derbyshire does this mean u need a card to operate the i-connect / krypt
No. You should have been issued a new card by your cable company in order to facilitate the change over to N3.
No m8 you will need a new box none of the new boxes take cards same as the other ones dont either only your subbed box. The kryptview box you get you will need a iconnector with it and to your BB and your cable job done once you put the software on the box
