That's true Mickah - patience is a virtue (clock ticking in the background & fingers tapping on the table)

Ebay don't allow cable boxes, so it will be gone very soon. The A750 is identical except for the LAN port on the back which is usually covered with a black sticker. They are quite an old design now though, unlike the relatively new Starview6

Having tried them both, I prefer the Starview, picture looks sharper and it has proper widescreen, at least the WS switching is better for me.

mmm, based on the older SV's, I found the arnet 750 was way better the 700 did improve later on), proper aspect on the pictures, auto tuning, with later firmwares the EPG menu did get easier to navigate about and the support, is way and above the SV, the firmwares were timely, the N2 firmware, first out of the traps and months ahead of SV

If the support from Starview were bra straps, the knockers would be left hanging, although a nice thought, I prefer my knockers well supported...... :)

I never got proper aspect ratio on the A750/A780, with the box setting at 16:9, then WS channels are OK but non-WS was forced (stretched) to 16:9, with the combi setting, then neither were correct, it just forced half way between the two.

D-Box, Eurovox from the Max V and the new Starviews all seem OK.

I know that KV got N2 in Ireland out first, but then SV got N3 out in Ireland first.

I'm not affiliated with either manufacturer, I sell them both so have nothing to gain here - just my personal preference.

    Can't you read!!!

Typical of someone obviously involved with Kryptview or a Kryptview only seller. You'll be be repeating the unsubstantiated rumour that Starview only last 1 Year next!!

Kryptview is actually more difficult to setup as many people don't have COM ports on their PC any more. I get many more help requests from customers that have bought the KV and can't get them flashed, than customers that missed a step with their HD Combo+ and couldn't get them connected.

BTW, how is the Kryptview HD box doing on the server? As good as the Starview HD?

have not seen 1 post on here saying they cant get the Krytview up and running even with as you say people not having comports

i think you should read some of the starview threads and see for yourself ?? lots of people having problems setting them up.

if you are such an expert on staview why not put up a post on how to actually get them to work.

Kryptview once its flashed its perfect plug the ethernet cable in and away you go that is why they dont have as much problems as the Sv does not only the combo haveing probs but the Sv 6 also mac address probs as well all zeros on the mac.

People are intitiled to know whats what with the boxes either way whats good and whats bad and at the present time Sv is going the wrong way with trying to make it good

You have a history of being wrong, just admit it.

Many posts from Kryptview users of missing channels in the last Week or Two. If customers bought a SV HD Combo from me, they have instructions how to set them up, if they have problems getting connections they just have to e-mail me for help.

I have not heard of anyone with the SV6 having MAC problems. I have heard of a few people having problems with some USB HDD on the SV6, which USB HDD does the Kryptview support?

So how is the Kryptview HD doing on the server - you forgot to answer that.

Anyway, the purpose of my posts were not to trash the Kryptview, well not until you started posting rubbish again. The Kryptview works, it's just dated. The SV6 works and has more features and is cheaper.

ok this is just a few of the problems Sv has

and that is just from the starview 6 thread and i have not even gone over the rest of the post with same problems

and same for the combo box as well so it could be a very long post here if i kept going

and as for me having a problem with starview very much the opposit if i had why the feck did i offer to try and get it sorted if that is the case ??

and if you also look at the starview threads you will see i do my best to help the people out but i call a spade a spade

also about there Hd boxes on the server that i dont know maybe you could shed some light on it ??

same could be said for all the other starview that are not working which could be if they made the dongle for it but they wont anyway im not here to slag anything here im saying it as i see it.

you on the other hand dont sell KV so you have everything to gain by putting it down

Wrong again - can't you read or something

You mention a SV6 with a problem in Dublin, does the Kryptview work at all in Dublin?

Have you actually tried a Starview6? When you have tried one yourself, you will be qualified to compare them.

what has that got to do with anything we are not talking about that box working we all know its not working in ireland but when they do set it up lets see the difference

weather or not i tried the sv6 or not is not the answer ??
as you can see by just a few posts i have showed you and that is not only CONFINED to dublin that is also a problem in the UK and i have not mentioned once about the Kryptview working in ireland did I ?? nope and you have not shown me 1 post with people having problems flashing there boxes i could go on searching for posts for prob with combo and Sv6 but if your interested look yourself.

and you have may have them advertised on your website but that is it. anybody can put anything on their website dont mean jack

and this is the end of this conversation
