try a speed test in your apartment on your lappy and then do one somewhere else with the same lappy and see if there is a big difference, if there is, at least you can eliminate the lappy, its your signal

That is the only option currently, I'm told the Starview server will be up soon. There may already be some standard premium servers that work with Linux boxes, the adverts for those have been very expensive though

well only prob with the starview one is the box will only last a year and then you need to purchase another box to get the line the kryptView on the other hand does not have that stipulation you buy your box or the iconnec and your box stays on even after the 12mts big difference in price and savings especially as we are in a recession

Im sure anyone that has bought these boxes before will be in the know where to get more or buy the iconnect from to use with the exisiting box you have already purchased which is a big plus on their side

I've had this discussion on another site. Certainly the SV HD Combo (and I'm told the current SV6) can add Clines, so you don't need a new box after the Year. It has been claimed that the payment for the I-Connector includes CS server access for ever with no further payment. Personally I can't see that being sustainable, it has also been claimed that KV are not looking to make a profit from the CS access.

Some people are claiming the I-Connectors are available for under £100, others are saying they actually paid over £150, but very few (if any) sites are actually advertising them - try a google search and see for yourself

depending where ya buy from them from like anything people always add on if they buy and are selling on and demand is there there are no sites advertising them its word of mouth only

sv6 will not be able to change clines as there box will not allow you to do this why you think that you have to buy a new box starview is closed source do you think they are going to allow people buy their box and then use someone else clines ha ha ha ha ha that aint going to happen

Sv combo cable does not work in Uk or Irl so thats another big prob for starview do they ever do their homework i wonder

Hi e45, I just stumbled on this page and my eyes have now lit up. Could you let me know a couple of things if possible please?

I currently have a eurovox, V*R*N b/b and live in Edinburgh. For this to work i'd just need to buy a kryptview a750 box and a Evolution iConnect box then all will be fine here? Also I take it they are just recievers (like the eurovox?) so don't send signals back to V****N or anyone else who may get us in trouble?

I dont expect you to know everything but any help will be so appreciated, thank you.

WRONG - the SV combo does work on cable in the UK with CS, I have seen it working myself. just because it's not bundled does not mean it does not work.

    The old hypothetical question.

How can anyone answer that? Seriously..... No one knows what is up the sleeves of providers, you want one, buy one, get a month, get a year....... thats the nature of the game
