Yes you can, works on the on both cable and sat, but bear in mind, the cable side will be defunct after a year, which means you will have to buy a new box if you want the cable side to work, for me, a dreambox HD would be better long term runner

The 12 Month cable server access was a rumour started by some Kryptview sellers, it did not come from Starview. My supplier told me that Kryptview were limited to 12 Months but other Kryptview sellers have disputed that. There is no guarantee that either will last anyway.

Now watch the other Kryptview sellers start flaming me again.

Who mentioned the Kryptview being redundant after 12 months?? not once has that one been bandied about, until now, the world and his wife know the SV's server access are only for 12 months, in fact, the bloody things can barely last a week without something going wrong, never mind 12 months, the proof is in the pudding, I dont sell either boxs, nor am I involved in any form with thier sale, but based on the amount of posts on here and everywhere else, the SV's and the end service to the punter is shite, now we can all debate each of the merits till the cows come home, but as far as I can see, Kryptview is far and above anything SV can muster, from quality, service and backup. In fact, the 12 month time frame was let out of the bag back when the SV6 started in Ireland, Dec / Jan time, it was the first thing that was said to me, before the hit the shelves and that was from a very good authority, so, the Kryptview didnt come out for about approx 4 months after that, so the Kryptview sellers must be either Mystic meg or drive De Lorean Time machines to come out with that statement, Like I say, its the end result to the punters which matter, we can see clearly who is leading that one and that aint flaming no one, I am stating results and facts in the above....results we can all see, Facts which I am well informed on....... you can trust me on that one

My Kryptview supplier told me they would only last 12 Months, my Starview supplier says they will last indefinitely. Kryptview sellers/supporters on forums have claimed that the Kryptview will last forever.

The 12 Month Starview rumour was spread by Kryptview people as has been mentioned several times before.

There are now more people coming back for 2nd and 3rd Starview boxes after they have actually tried them. You will have seen a post on TW about how bad the Starview server is, there is a page full of posts from one user that says it's down, it's glitching etc - then on page 2 when he has his cable feed sorted, he says it's not bad after all. There are other posts as well now starting to say the server is not bad when they have actually tried it. Neither server is 100%, my experience is that the servers perform very similarly.

I sell both boxes, so don't care which I sell. I just try to ensure that information is as accurate as it could be despite the flaming I have received on here from a certain Kryptview only seller.

Could be a sign of server congestion, Internet congestion or a weak cable signal.

Has anybody had any problems with a780's crashing?? mine does it maybe once every week and only when you channel surf. All you do is switch it on and off but its a bit worrying that it will break.

as far as i know its updated saying that not sure how you update it .sig levels 70% I'm on a sub and broadband. The whole box crashes it not a signal strength issue. It crashes completely and has to be switched off at the back of the box

How could you get around having two KV boxes, neither of which are anywhere near the router?

I read somewhere about "Homeplugs", but whats the deal with them?

And BTW, would youse stop fecking arguing about KV and SV fer feck sake!

you call it arguing, I call it debate, its better to air stuff so people are in the know and not finding out down the line when its to late and what your diggin into there is certain folk bringing their opinion to the fore,

And at this stage of the game, it dont really matter as that happened a while back,
