Same can be said for Car boot sales country fairs and fle markets these people can sell the boxes things go wrong they dont want to know and will also have no interest in the working of the box and will send you to sites like this for help if a person sells a box they should know what it does and how it works what you need and not send you to other places for the info all they are doing is passing the book.

Always buy from a reputable dealer that way you will get your 12 mth warranty as long as you comply with there guidelines.

Yh but most companies clearly state, they only cover boxes with the FTA software on them so as soon as you flash the box it is your problem.

no its not under the sale of goods act 1980 good are supposed to be of merchable quality and be fit for the purpose intended.

does not say if you put firmware on the box that it caused the box to die can be other factors as well could be faulty chip could be a dry solder.

but as long as you can put the FTA firmware back on the box it should be still under warranty.

With regards to a dead box its dead and faulty regardless who knows what was on it when it died nobody.

Some companies argue that the process of flashing killed the box. It's quite common for boxes to have a bad flash, I've fixed quite a few EX1100 and EX6000 especially. One of the most common problems is users flashing the .rar file rather than extracting the firmware from the archive first.

or putting in the usb before turning off the box first or pulling the usb out before switching the box off or before flash is finished

same anything where you connect via the net, they all have their risks and can be traced or blocked, but if your IP provider is not upcccc or VM it would be safer I would presume

This is for UK only ...

    1) Upgrade your Kryptview A750 with the latest firmware
    2) Plug the IConnect into the A750 using the supplied serial cable
    3) Plug the IConnect into your broadband modem/router using the supplied ethernet cable
    4) Switch everything on
    5) Scan for channels

All other connections via the internet are automatic. There's 4 green lights on the IConnect, 3 usually stay lit but when the 4th is blinking, it's grabbing the codes
