Yes, I know I'm a lamme newb ;_; First, I inserted a friend's original CD of a Windows program. It started the Instalation process, but I canceled, I picked the Alcahol 120% and tried to make a backup of a normal CD, then It stoped arguing with a reading error (BTW, the CD is heavely damaged). So I quit 120% and opened cdr-fe (a cdrtools front-end) and tried to make an ISO file, but It also stoped, then I gave up, and tried to install the software, but It says that I tried to make an illegal copy O_O zOMG! Oh No! WTF is this? What can I do? Can I at least make a working copy of this CD-R? BTW, I tried to scan it with ClonyXXL, but it gives me: "An error ocurred while acessing and unamed file" :/ Please help me asap, tia
Forget the Alcohol 120%. Do you have Nero or Easy CD Creator? Just select 'DISK COPY' and it will make a copy. I don't know what copy protection you're talking about on the Windows CD, but I've never had problems when choosing 'Disk Copy'.
