    dRD is the webmaster of Afterdawn e.g. he has the final say in most things.

    Ketola is an admin at Afterdawn e.g. dRD's right hand man.

    @lethal_b,

    Would be a shame to lose anyone who has been around for awhile here on AD. With the amount of flaming I see a few that may put their foot in the mouth sooner or later. My advice nowadays is either try to help, correct in a nice manner, use the offensive post button, or simply do not post in the thread.

    I agree, lately it seems that there are more less than mannerly posters. I am starting to avoid threads because I can feel my blood pressure rising with some of the posts.

    Know that feeling! Every week, something new arises that gets on my nerves.

    But not if they are worthy of a banning. Why should somebody be exempt from the rules because of post count.

    There are plenty of Senior Members in the console forums who spend their whole day bitching & arguing. One day they will become assicts. Those were the people I was referring to in my post on the previous page.

    I too have noticed a number of less than courteous replys. I am avoiding weighing in on those as well. When you remove the fuel the fire usually goes out, less it's a neuclear flame.

    If you can't run with the big dogs, pick on the smaller ones I always say.

    The Karma system or reputation system would be better than just sheer number of posts.

    LOCO - as for a karma system, I think we'd probably have noobs making multiple accounts & boosting their karma. You know what they're like ;-)

    The current system is good, but there, in my very humble opinion should be a system whereby as soon as one has made 2500 posts, they are assessed as to whether they are worthy of the title..

    Who would make the assessment? A jury of your peers? DRd, admins, mods? I think this would definately take a toll on the admins or mods if they had to remember or look back into 2500 posts a member has made, but it is a good idea.
