Hi I am having problems with my computer.

    Spec:

    It is running Ubuntu.
    40gb hdd
    1gb ram
    amd athlon 64 x2 4000+
    500W Power Supply - Octigen

Basically when it is in the bios mode it is completely fine, but when its running and starts up after a while like 1-5 minutes it turns off however the 'on light' at the front flashes green on and off.
Even after switching it off from the main switch it is still flashing.

So far I have tried this, Trying different; power supply, ram, the fan for the cpu.

I am wondering if its something I need to install while I am in the bios mode as it can stay on that mode for however long without turning off.

    Can anyone help me please?

    Thanks

Have you tried this computer with another os ie windows?

With the ubuntu disc that you used to install the operating system, try to boot live off the disc and see if the same problems remain, if they do it would point to a hardware failure I think.
