operating printer through ethernet using router

    i am networked to the pc in my living room through a router and i was wondering if it is possible for me to print things from my laptop to the printer using the router?

    Hey

    Is the printer physically connected to the PC or is it a node on the network? What operating system are you using?

    If it is connected to a PC then you could enable sharing on the printer. Look for it on the network and print to it.
    Right click the printer on the PC and enable sharing.
    On the LT, look for the printer on the network and print to it.

    yes the printer is connected directly through usb and will i have to install the printers software on the other computer. (using windows xp for both but the one that is not directly connected is a vio laptop)
