Hi - I just tried overburning with my Optiarc DVDRW AD-7540A writer in Nero (having enabled the software to overburn), but when I got to the burning stage it said the CD only had a capacity of 702MB. But that's not true as it's a MultiPlay CDR capable of 99min / 870MB (unless I've been swindled).

In Nero's 'choose recorder' section it even says "Overburn: supported"... so as far as I'm concerned the hardware allows it, the software allows it - so what's the problem?

Should I take this as a sign that overburning is a bad idea?!? ;)

Any opinions / advice gratefully appreciated. Cheers, Martin

Hi when you burn you have to allow for the lead in, and the lead out, each side of your files these take disc space also. a small ammount of over burn is ok but generally not ideal
