    Hello,
I'm new to the whole 'overclocking' scene and would really appreciate some help:

I have had my ASUS A7N8X-E Mobo and AMD AthlonXP 2800+ for a few years now and after talking with people and looking at various articles it seems that this processor and board are really good for overclocking.

I have CPU-Z and here is some information that i think may help:

    Core Speed : 2079.6 MHz
    Multiplier : 12.5
    Bus speed : 166.4 MHz
    Rated FSB : 332.7 MHz

    Voltage : 1.680v

Any help on how to go about overclocking the CPU would be great,

    Thanks,
    Mike

first off i wouldnt recommend overclocking unless you KNOW how too. Also the fact that its a complete waste. you might as well just buy a new fast computer. but thats my opinion. if you want to overclock go to the BIOS and turn up the speed or your manufacturer will have a program to download and install for free to do this as well.
