LightXxX... I honestly think that you would be better off wiping the hard drive and starting from scratch with XP or Win7 than doing all this crap with overclocking. The CPU in your laptop is not the weak link; in fact is is probably the best part you have. If the system is slow for things that are 2D, then it is almost certainly a software issue...and given your level of expertise, I think that starting from scratch would be your best bet. If there is no place in the bios that says speedstep, then you can't turn it off. However, you can go into power management and set the policies in there. As for OC, some laptops just don't OC...it might be because you are using a screwed up copy of vista, but it might just as easily be because your laptop is not supported by any of the software OC programs.
Lenovo is a edited by ddp.... It changed the MoBo name and all it craps that we needed to OC this computer... Lenovo is very strict... They wont let US OC by changed names of MoBo and Disable any OC software from getting FSB or setting the FSB...
Why is this Lenovo's fault? that laptop was never meant to do the things you are trying to do. it was never meant to play games, never meant to be OC'd. It does what it is supposed to, you try and make it do more. Its like being mad that your refrigerator doesnt cook your food also. IT WAS NEVER MEANT TO DO THAT. many people have tried to help, and many people cracked jokes when you go and do whatever you want without listening to advice. Do you want to listen to the help, or keep breaking things?
Deadrum, can you edit your post to reflect what i did to LightXxX's post so i don't mess up your sig.
What you mean wipe the HDD and start from Scratch? Didn't get what you meant... And Deadrum33, I did listen to advice but it's not working and also, the first few post they give are worthless, it's not about OC or somethting related to OC, Like DDP for example, he said "The CPU is not slowing the Computer" which i dont give a C***... I wanted some serious answer like, "Use this ClockGen to OC" or "Watch this Video to OC your Laptop"... I kept getting useless answer like, "you cant be cause it's ganna OverHeat"... "They didn't said, It's impossible to OC since You dont know the MoBo name" or something like that and they also didn't say, "it's wouldn't work on your Lenovo since OC software doesn't work".... People just gave me some useless stuff like "It's the video card" and stuff... I just want to know if i can OC not useless stuff like the Vdeo Card....
Don't pretend to know loads about laptops. I know enough I have speedfan reader and telling me that cpu 61. core 0 - 52 core. 1 - 52 is that right or is it running a bit hot I have a hp pavillion dv6000. thank you
topcat, hijacking another member's thread is a forum rule no no so should start your own thread. if those readings are at idle not burning or encoding programs or whatever then is to hot but not as hot as LightXxX's readings.
what are you on about hijacking another member's thread there talking about the temp on there laptop. I ask a simple question because what I can read some of them seem to know what there talking about if thats to much for you then just remove me because if can't even ask a simple question

Will after it copyed the files it shutdown to not damage my computer... My bro said it's probably the files that doesn't support the computer since it's 2008... Who would recommend me getting Windows XP Pro SP3? I Only want Windows XP for Overclocking the Mouse and also for speed and WIndows 7 Cant overclock the mouse and also uses a lot of System usage... Overclocking the mouse to 500Hz(4ms) for Counter-Strike: Source for smooth gaming... I cant seem to install it after the Windows XP setup is copying file which shut down to stop the damage to my computer... I downloaded a new Windows XP Pro SP3 and i think im ganna install it pretty soon
recommend you use either the OS included with laptop or the one immediately after it. IE vista, or 7. OR xp, or vista. its less likely to support earlier os than when it was made, dig? reference the minimum system specs. and you can change pointer speed in the control panel, but after rereading i dont think thats quite what youy want to do. you can always install from your existing xp if comp. supports it and apply the sp3 patch, guy.
I did Set it to high but nothing change much... The mouse is set to 125Hz and will never change until OCing it... Windows just made it move faster not making the Hz faster...
@ lightXxX Here's a laptop already over clocked for ya......... Is 6 cores @ 4.6GHz enough for you? http://www.engadget.com/2011/02/15/intel-core-i7-990x-stealthily-hits-shelves-origin-pc-overclocks/
You want to overclock the mouse? What for? 125hz is more than four times faster than the fastest human eyes can see. I know some online FPS addicts like 500hz mice, but those people have computers capable of playing FPS games; you do not. Besides, a half hour of practice will give you a much bigger advantage than some setting that you cannot even detect without benchmark software. If you had a 50hz mouse, you might almost have a reason to OC it...almost...but 125hz is faster than any gaming mouse needs; and we know it isn't a gaming mouse because it is only 125hz.
You said Here and i cant even buy it... It's not real, i cant evn find it on Pricewatch.com or Newegg.com... Where can i find this laptop? It's for $1000 so imma try to save mone for few years and get my own since im still using this one...
UM....that's only the cpu at NEWEGG for $1049.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115079 The laptop starts at $2499.99 and if you add dual video cards, 24gig of ram, 3 hard drives, finger print reader, BLU ray burner, and a bunch of other stuff will cost you over $13,000 and ORIGINPC.com will gladly take your order. And you know what? I bet if you bought this laptop you would be right back on here asking how to over clock it. The cpu is 130 watts! Do you leave it plugged in or does it have a nuclear reactor built in as it power sorce? Probably doubles as a hot plate to cook on also.
When the Intel i990X is overclocked, is it stable or not? My bro said those hexa core isn't as stabe as quad core after OC...
