OVERLAPPED I/O

    WHEN USING DVD SHRINK IAM CONSTANTLY GETTING THIS MESSAGE "FAILED TO READ "D:\" OVERLAPPED I/O OPERATION IS IN PROGRESS" WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? I HAVE TRIED USING
    SCUBA PETE'S GUIDE FOR NEWBIES BUT I AM GETTING THIS
    AFTER ABOUT 50 TO 70%. ON MY DVD SHRINK THE BOX THAT I
    CAN TICK TO ALLOW OVERLAPPED I/O S IS GRAYED OUT. WHAT
    CAN I DO??????

    There is probably a problem with the disk of some sort. Is the disk scratched or dirty? If so, clean.

    Does this happen for every disk or just one particular disk?

    Have you tried clicking on the grayed "Overlapped" box? If not, click on it and see if that either places a check in the box or leave an ungrayed empty box. You want it empty not checked.

    If the above doesn't work, then uninstall DVD Shrink, restart, and then reinstall the latest version.
