Just a quick question. Would a PAL dvd show its higher resolution in comparison to an NTSC dvd if its played on a DVD player here in the US? Would the difference only show up if the DVD were attached to an HDTV set? 100 extra lines seems like a big difference since dvds dont have such high resolution to begin with. Should I start getting PAL dvds if my player can support them? I'm trying to find the best way to keep using dvds until the HD format war is over and the HD discs and players become affordable.
