Not exactly the same but almost, scroll side ways to change the provider title. It should say BEV or Nimq I think. I don't watch BEV so I'm not sure how its listed and can't check my receiver since I'm at work now. Jerry

Hi, I recently got 3500 SD, and it works fine for sometime and suddenly i get "No Signal", If I swich-off and ON the receiver I get the picture for some more time and then it repeats. But If I connect to a different TV in a different room then I don't have this problem. What to do to fix ?
I am a newbie and I am totally lost, I got this Pansat 3500 but I don't know what to do to get it going. Can anyone that knows what they're doing help me get started?
See if this link works. Its a setup guide for the 3500. http://www.future-fta.info/Forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=1467&d=1132693452 You will need Acrobat reader to open it. Jerry
Hello Jerry, I am new to the Pansat 3500. I get 90% level and 88%quality on the 119, but I only get 88% level and 40% quality on 110 is there any thing I can do to up the 110 quality? Thank you juan
The 110 lnb needs adjusted. If you are using 2 separate LNBs on one dish you will need to play with only the 110 LNB. If you are using something like a DishPRO dish with both LNBs combined into one unit, then you have to get the elevation and skew adjustment settings correct. Elevation is the up-down adjustment. Skew adjustment is done by turning or twisting the complete dish unit slightly in a circular motion. Jerry
Hi Jerry, I have recently purchased a 3500 SD and thanks to the valuable information provided by you and other users, have been able to install the same. However, I am facing two problems. 1. I see a $ sign in front of the channel numbers. I was told that they will go away after I enter the key codes. 2. When I am going to the Parental Control section, I do not see an option for Second Pin. I only see 1 option (old Pin, New Pin, Confirm Pin). Not sure why I am not seeing the part where I can enter the Second Pin. I tried pressing 8282 on the remote without being on the menu too but that doesnt seem to work. Can you...or someone else on this Forum please tell me why I cant see the Second Pin option. Thanks
Hello all. I live in Charlotte, NC and am currently using Dish network. Anyone in the Charlotte area using Pansat equipment? Is the picture quality as good as Dish? I can't believe I can spend $259 and get the 3500 unit with a DVR. Are all of you happy with the Pansat units? What are the downfalls of going to the Pansat units? Do you get all the HBO's, Showtime Stars and other movie channels? With Dish, I get 8 HBO's at $14.95. How many do you get on Pansat? How does this work, do I just buy the unit, and that is all I have to pay, or do I have to pay for movie channels? Do I need a new dish, or can I use my current dish 500 with dual lnb's? Do you receive your local channels as well? Thanks for your answers
Jerry...I just jtagged my pansat. I believe it is fine now since b-70 then a channel # now appears on my view screen when i start the pansat. However i am unable to load a bin or b-80 boot file. I am using the same program i always used GTRom Loader 35.1 and it just sits at the loading screen. Neither the pansat display shows any percentage nor the program shows any percentage value. I have tried different pc's but same problem. Any help would be appreciated.
The $$$ signs don't really go away, they will usually always be there, but if you installed the proper bin file correctly you should be able to access those channels. The $$$ just shows those channels are usually pay channels. Not sure about your pin number problem. Once a sat is scanned you should be able to get the 2 pin options. Jerry
Just go back to the beginning of this thread and start reading. I started out with a Pansat and had it for a year. Good box but I believe there are a few other brands a little better, but the Pansat will work. Yes to most of your questions. You will get ALL channels available if you program the latest bin file into the Pansat. It takes less than 5 minutes to do the programming. Yes the Dish 500 unit will work. The quality will depend directly on the aim of the dish. If it is aimed true to the sats with nothing blocking the signal, you will get good results and good quality. I started with over 600 channels off an old DTV 18 inch dish and 2 LNBs. After going through and removing the ones I didn't want I still have over 500 including all locals, all PPV, all HBO-Showtimes----everything. Many channels are repeats of the same programs or movies but starting at different times. Hope this helps. Jerry
If it was jtagged properly then it should work. Try loading a factory bin file first. You should be able to get the factory loader and file off PAnsatUSA.com home site. The factory file won't get you any free channels but resets the receiver back to factory specs. If it then looks like its working, update to the newest bin file. If that doesn't work, recheck the jtag process. Jerry
Jerry, Which version of api do I need to download from Blacklist ? version 308,or 316 ? I'm watching Dish network programming, will the BEV files work for here in the US ? The keymaster and ripper program, do I need that to generate the keys under parental controls/nagravision 2... Thanks in advance.
Never mind Jerry, I figure it out. Got my pansat 3500 to work. Have to get the channel in order though. Just one question, will the BEV api work on dish network programming ? Thanks.
Hey Jerry With the change in day light savings time when we will have a fix on the EPG. I had to keep my time as if it is an hour early to watch shows in real time. CPK
Go into the time setting area and make the adjustment. There should be a place to + or - hrs for the time zone. Jerry
Usually the one bin file will correct encryption on both DN and BEV unless stated otherwise. In some cases when there is a more involved encryption change, they usually correct the DN problem first, then work on the BEV encryption next. The final fix for both is still usually in one file. Jerry
