Its a possibility that this may be the end of FTA and DN but its hard to say right now. When the encryption sequence went from NAG1 to NAG2 there was a similar long wait with many saying NAG 2 would not be fix. They were wrong at that time and I hope those saying this is the end are wrong again. Only time will tell but not getting any info at all out of any of the FTA camps that means anything has me thinking its going to be a long wait.

Hey everyone, I'm new to this so forgive me for asking dumb questions in advance. I purchased a Pansat 3500 SD about two months ago so I'm not real familiar with the equipment. I've updated once and now I'm like everyone else. My system is down and from what I've read, it could be awhile. I've even read this last round may have trashed the system... could this be true??? Does anyone have any more information?

I have full digital cable at home so I'm watching TV, but it would be nice to get back up and running with FTA.

Thanks for any and all information.

I now belong to 10 different FTA site just trying to find out some information. There isn't much info from any of them that can be accepted as fact, mostly rumors. Viewsat rumor yesterday was that they had all the information they needed to complete the writing of the bin file. It was expected last night---it didn't show up. Part of the rumor is the bin is being tested. Pansat rumor is that Blacklist has now stated the fix can be done. No time frame given. All rumors that I haven't been able to find any posting on to verify. Can't tell you more than that. It looks like the fix is possible but no idea when.

    Hey Jerry,
When they finally break the code... and post the code. Where will I find the instructions how to load them. If I entered the information wrong would it crash my system beyond repair?

    CPK2006, didn't know I had a FAN out there,LOL.
If you have any Pansat receivers then Future-FTA is the best site to get all your information. They cover other brands but are more of a Pansat site. Blacklist, the code writer for Pansat supports that site. The forum is divided into sections by brand and model of the different receivers and usually has a getting started and newbie section on each. Updating the receivers isn't hard if you read the instructions. Its no more difficult than downloading a program off the net. If you don't do it properly you could mess up the receiver but usually not to the point that it can't be fixed by reloading the software. Only in extreme cases does it need jtagged which requires a special cable and some special input from a computer. Just read, read, read before you try anything.

If you have a receiver you can't find on Future-FTA's site then try its sister site called Al7bar.tk.

Hope this helped. Here are the links to the 2 sites.

Sorry, but nothing new as of yet. Last post by our coder was about a week ago. He said he is still working on it and hasn't given up. This is a hard encryption to break. No date promised.

Here is the latest RUMOR. Please understand that everything these days are rumors but this came from someone I have known a while with a least some inside contact. Still no way I can confirm it.

The RUMOR is that Blacklist has video working but with some minor bugs to work out. If true it should be a few more days. Some estimate the bin could be released tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed and hope this rumor is right.

That is good news Jerry. My local Sat guys closed down because of this so I hope I can find those codes online when they are out.

    Thanks for SOME good news

Once the bin file is actually released, it will probably be on every FTA site out there.

    Hey Jerry

On Tuesday night I found the latest keys. I entered them exactly into my PanSat 3500 (I am a computer geek...) and it didn't work.

@cpk2006, make sure you have the auto-roll option turned off right now. If its on and you enter keys it will probably try to change them again.

Not real sure on the 3500, but check the options in the main menu. You can also enter 8282 with the remote which should take you to the key area of the menu. Should be options for auto transponder update and auto roll of the keys. Thats the one to turn off.

    Hey Jerry
I found the auto transponder update and turned off. On my Pansat 3500sd I can't enter 8282 on the remote to find the auto roll keys, but through some searching through menus I found a section with four options:
    1) Keycode on or off, I have on
    2) Dishnet Autoroll on or off, I have on off
    3) Bev Autoroll on or off, I have on on
    4) GlobeCast Autoroll on or off, I have on

After changing this, enter codes it doesn't work. I tried unpluggin from power and it still doesn't work. I talked to a few places and they say these new keys don'r work for my Pansat 3500sd and that I need to buy a viewsat xtreem

    Your help is greatly appreciated

Hey guys. I have a 3500SD as well and the support site I use hasn't posted the new key yet. Are you sure the new key is available to fix the July 4th kill and it works? Just asking....

I'll check back later tonight for updates. Thanks everyone for a great message board!
