i think they could be the same, and the only u could find out is by looking at the capacitor and see if you can read 470uF,16V. that number is labled on the capacitor.
You can't receive BEV if your dish is pointed at the DN sats. We are talking completely different sats. You would need to re-aim the dish or install a second dish to receive BEV. Jerry
I am a complete newbie to this hobby. I just got my Pansat set up yesterday it was working great. today all I get is "wait for picture" or "scrambled or bad channel". Any words of advice for a noob? How can it work yesterday but nothing today, my signal and quality are both 85+. Thanks in advance
They change the encryption keys several times a day. You need to install the newest bin file so your receiver will auto roll the new keys for you. The other choice is to turn off auto roll and change the keys manually when needed. For more information or guides join this site below. Its free. http://www.future-fta.info. Jerry

I don't watch BEV channels so I really don't know if there may be a problem with the guide or not. Join one of these forums below which have good Viewsat support and setup guides. The first one also supports Pansat receivers. http://www.future-fta.info. http://www.hashhu.com. http://www.al7bar.tk. Jerry
No such conversion that I know of. They are 2 completely different receivers. The 2500 is getting almost too old to handle the latest encryptions. Jerry
Hey Jerry I am having a problem with my Viewsat extreme 2000. When the lastest crash hit it got really messed up. I have two LNB's going into a splitter than out to my receiver. 110 is going in port 2 and 119 is going into port 3. Yet to get a signal on my receiver I have to have both Echo 7 and 8 on port 2. I switch this with my Pansat and it worked fine. I loaded the factory default than loaded latest bin, same thing happened. I then downloaded the factory default from future fta than loaded lastest bin and same thin happened. You have any suggestions? At the current rate I get echo 7 only nothing on Echo 8 Please help....
Sounds like a bad switch but I'm just guessing. Try using one of the other switch ports and see if that works. If your problem clears up, you need a new switch. The other possibility is a bad LNB for the dead sat or just a bad connector on the cable somewhere. Jerry
Hey Jerry what is really weird is when I switch my viewsat to my pansat it works fine. I am using the switch that came with the viewsat and it works with the pansat
hey jerry im having a prob with the pansat 3500,on the keys menu it won't change from 0101 and 0901.it's jus showing 1 of them an ff we have to punch in 1 or the other to switch back and fourth from dn and b3v to watch them any help thx

Hi, New here... Is there A section on the Pansat that tells you exactly what equipment you need for this, Such as the dish etc.. Thanks
