Hello Jerry. The 332 bin doesn't work on my 3500sd. Any ideas? The last bin 327 worked until the latest zap.
I don't have a Pansat at home to test bin files anymore but they usually check them well before releasing them. Install the factory bin file first to clean out the receiver and then try the new 332 update. That may help. I'll look around on other forums and see if others are having problems with the new one. If you need the factory file, go to PansatUSA.com Jerry
I did the factory setting, than ran the new bin file. Scanned Echo 8 and did a tp scan. Nothing coming in.
I turned the box off for an hour or so, and when I turned it back on, it started the percentage thing, and the picture came in. Go figure! Thanks.
Yea, that sometimes helps too. I updated my old 2700 that I gave my daughter over the weekend and it took over 5 minutes just letting it roll for the picture to come in. Each box is a little different. Jerry
hey jerry my friends pansat 3500 won't auto roll for me any reason why it won't just say's scrambled and nothing else any help thx
Hard to guess at. First thing to check is the auto roll feature and make sure its ON. I usually put the receiver on a PPV channel and just let it roll for about 5 minutes. Are you getting the roll percent count-up?? If all else fails, Install the factory bin file and reset the receiver and then installed the new bin file. Rescan and then see what happens. Jerry
Jerry, I have PS 3500. I installed latest bin, scanned for channels on my dishpro, and only get 509 for ppv. I want to get the Ultimate Fight channels, any help?
Sounds like you only have sat 119 aimed in. Thats where PPV 509 is located. Most PPV channels are on sat 110. There are approx 30 PPV on 110. Jerry
You may be right. But I scan 110 first, and get 143 channels. I get quite a few pay channels, but they aren't the 465ect that gets the UFC. I have a friend that gets them, so I know they are available. How do I tell if I am aimed correctly. The signal reads strong on 110 and 119. Tony
It sounds like your dish only has one LNB so you are only getting some of the channels. When the dish is set up properly you should get about 300 channels off each sat for a total around 600 channels give or take a few. It looks like you think you are scanning 110 and 119 but I think you are scanning the same sat both times. Your channel count is still low for even 1 sat but I have no idea why without being there. Recheck the dish aim and all the receiver settings. Signal and quality readings usually need to be over 70%. The higher the better. Maybe have your friend help check your setup since his is working properly. Jerry
Jerry, When I turn tp autoupdate on I loose a lot of channels and it says "saving data 90%" then 100% randomly. When I rescan the birds sometimes I get close to all the channels but never all of them. Sounf like a dish aim or LNB prob? I did a factory reset on it and reloaded 322 but still the TP prob. Any ideas?
Here is what I found out over the years of doing this. Keep in mind that this is how I do things and others may do it a different way. First off I don't like the auto TP update because of exactly what you are seeing. It always seems to remove the channels that get moved but doesn't seem to find the new location of the channels. My present way of dealing with channel moves is this. About every 2 or 3 weeks or if I notice several channels missing from my line up, I delete ALL channels and do a complete sat scan 110 and 119. That gives me back all my channels in their new location and TP. I use to worry about channel lists and tried to get the channels in a special order that I wanted them in, but it became a big pain in the back side if you know what I mean. I now just scan the sats and sort the channels by SID and then delete the ones I don't watch. It takes me about 15 minutes to do all this and I never have to worry about missing channels. Again, keep in mind this is just how I do it and it works for me. For those that like channels in a certain order, this may not be the best way for them, but I got use to it after a week or so. No more missing channels and no special channel lists to worry about. Jerry
Jerry, I think I understand the problem now, but I don't know how to fix it. Y friend says on the dish receiver, you have to perform a "check switch", to get odd and even channels on the dual LMB. I know how to do that on the dish receiver, but I can't find that anywhere on the Pansat box. Any ideas? Tony
This is from what I remember on the Pansat settings and may be off slightly. When you go to scan a sat, the sat list is on the left side of a split screen. You will select a sat on the left (example 110) then go to the right side and you should have all the setup selections. If I remember right, the one on top is the LNB type. You have to use the arrow keys to go sideways to select the proper type of LNB that is on your dish. Then arrow down to the other setting and one of those will be the switch selection. These settings all depend on your dish and LNB types so I can't tell you exactly where to set these. You should be able to find more info at this site I link to below. Its free to join. Then find the sections on LNBs and dish setups and see if yours is listed. http://www.future-fta.info. Jerry
8/6 actually changed to 8/10 a good while ago. They sent up a new sat to replace the older one and moved the channels over to the new one. Jerry
HD FTA Hey Jerry, I am looking at buying a HD FTA receiver. I heard that the HD signal is coming off the BEV sat? Or can we get some HD off 110 or 119? Thanks Jerry
I haven't looked into any of the HD information lately, but a few months ago your information was correct. The only HD signals working for FTA was off the BEV sats. I don't know if the newer HD receivers are working for Dish but I don't think so. The Dish signal is different in some way. I'll have to research this to make sure when I have some time. There are a few Dish HD channels I would like to get. Jerry
