Ricky35 is correct. There is nothing we can do until the new bin is released. Future-fta is locked down because of the many people looking for the fix. The same you will find on many of the fta sites. Just keep checking here and at other sites. When the bin is out we will post the information either as a link or tell you where to find it. Jerry
Hey Jerry, I've looked around a little for a while on this satellite setup with a pansat and dish net stuff, in fact I've got a friend who does it, just never got around to doing anything about it. My question is, do you know how to set up a pansat 3500sd to work with a dish network 811 receiver? I don't currently have the dish net service so.. I just don't know If I should be using it. The thing is that I have a monitor that works with a DVI plug and the pansat doesn't have one, so thats really the primary reason.. I mean if there is any other benefit to doing this or that, I don't know or what. The dish net receiver has a antenna plug 'in' option and I was hoping to run the pansat through that, unless like aforementioned a different setup is more beneficial. thanks for your time Jason
You have me somewhat confused but let me see if I read this right. You have a DN 811 receiver but its not in use and you don't subscribe yet. Is the DN dish still up and aimed properly??? If I read correctly, you just need the 811 for the video output to the monitor. If this is what you need then I think it can be done but I don't know the complete backside of the 811 connections. If there is another connector on it for another input for example a second antenna then the Pansat out to the TV can be hooked to that and should feed its signal through the 811. Just don't hook up any phone line to the 811. The dish connection will go directly to the Pansat and it should work properly once we get a new working bin file. You can get some channels now with the last bin, just no PPV/XXX or premium movies right now. There should be way to select that second input on the 811 either by remote or on the front so the second signal input is the active one. DN can't trace the receiver without a phone hookup. If the second input works with the DN card out I would remove it also. They can't trace the card but it will try to take updates if its in. Jerry
I have a problem with mine is I cant get any ppv and movie on echo7 at all. I have full signal on my set up but I only can get echo7 anything else is scannble. can someone help me plz
If you would read some of the other posts on this forum you will see that everyone has the same problem. We are all waiting on a new bin file release to fix the PPV/movie channel problem. They have been out for several days now. Jerry
I just go my Pansat 3500 in the mail today. I already have the latest bin file 342 from and my dish is already pointed to 110 & 119. What do I do now? Do I just load the bin into my SD card and run a channel scan? Should autoroll be on for this new bin? Please, let me know if I'm missing any steps.
No, you have the right idea. Just load the bin to the receiver--make sure auto roll is on and then wait for the picture to come in. The auto roll takes 5 to 10 minutes at times. I usually rescan the sats about once a month to update any channel location changes, but thats up to you. Jerry
I have the 3500sd, with bin 342. How do I set the autoroll on? My channels are dropping than some come back. It must be in the setup, but i am missing the point.
Jerry How do I do the antenna set up for my pansat 3500 I have no clue what SAT to select or what to do with all the options on the right. I have my DN sat pointed to 110 & 119 from a previous instal but have no idea how to do the initial setup for my pansat
I insatlled the 342 bin, but it doesn't do the autoroll. Previous versions did. Someone wrote the autoroll is 8282. How do I enter the 8282 to get it going fully? This unit is a 3500sd with sd card updates.
Enter 8282 on the remote, then you should see the options for auto roll. Be advised the premium PPV channels are out again. They keep changing the encryption as fast as the coders fix it. Jerry
110 is listed as Echo or Echostar 8,10. 119 is listed as Echo or Echostar 7. I don't know what dish you have installed but the more common dish for 2 sats is called DishPro (DP). Try that selection in the lnb settings. Try 11250 for LNB freq. Try sw21 for Legacy switch. I'm guessing on these because I have no idea what dish you have. Watch the signal bar as you select these settings. If signal drops way off then try a different selection. I think the Diseqc selections are port 1 for 119 and port 2 for 110 but those may need reversed. Jerry
Autoroll options, are all set to on. Still dropping out when going up or down channels, bin 342. Thanks for explaining the 8282 setup, and what it does. Suree others benefited from this info.
Thanx Jerry, I have Dish 500 and I am in South Texas, I don't know if that matters for the settings. I will try these settings as soon as I get home. I am sure this wont be my last question but I will keep you posted until I get this up and running.
