CPK2006, for right now and until a new bin file comes out, I would shut all 4 of those options OFF. That way any information or keys you enter manually will stay that way.

Papakevin, these keys are only for the few local free channels right now. Everyone is still waiting for the new bin fix to be posted.

Thanks for the update Jerry - I appreciate the information. Any word or update on when the rest of the channels might be up and working? NFL Football starts tomorrow and it would be great to watch any game this Sunday... thanks.

Just some extra information for everyone::

The PPV channels reported coming back on seem to be increasing. The suggestion is to delete all channels and do a re-scan to see what is working. The PPV channels working are some of the VOD channels in the 5000 range. Doesn't hurt to check. Make sure you have the newest bin and keys installed. We don't know how long these will last before going out again.

Jerry - Any "hints" on where I can find the latest and greatest bin file? My guy has not updated his site (probably because it's not 100%) but anything is better than nothing. Thanks.

Both Pansat sites are in the process of updating servers so try this one. Look in the FTA receiver files section and then find the Pansat section. The last files should be dated around the middle of June. Keys are also listed on the front of the home page.

No problem, Hope you get a few of those VOD channels for a while. At least that would be some movies to watch.

I loaded the keys and it didn't work. Funny thing since you directed me I have found three different keys in the past 24 hours. I found two on www.hashhu.com

Now I hear that I need bin file 3.53 and after that it is all good. But I can't find where to get the file anywhere

Is the bin 353 fix a complete fix or just a partial one? I've got local and some of the VOD (thanks again Jerry) but the rest would be nice ;-).

I've downloaded bin 353, but not exactly sure what to do with it....says it's a AVG update file. I usually enter keys in manually, but I have interfaced with laptop before. Thanks.

Couldn't figure out to edit previous post - sorry. It is a .bin file, but is recognized as a AVG file on my home PC. Any directions on how to load via laptop to 3500SD is appreciated. Still question if this is a complete fix for all viewing. Thanks.

OK, last question. Can you load a .bin file from a SD card or do you need a PC? I'm looking for the manual for the receiver, but can't find it. Thanks.

Papakevin, Bin 353 is the last old bin before the channels went out. Its not the one we are waiting for. It will only get the locals and the few VODs that came on recently. The pansat bin files need to be loaded with the Pansat loader program. It will recognize the bin file when you select it within the loader program. The 3500 can be updated by either the serial port or the sd card slot. If your laptop only has USB ports like some newer one have, then a USB to Serial adapter is needed. If your laptop has a SD card slot, then the file can be loaded to the sd card and then transfered to the 3500 by the card slot there. No need to actually hook the 3500 to the PC when using that process. You will need to read up on the exact steps for the sd card update. I have never done one that way. I think that answers all your questions.

Hi jerry, after months of not turning the pansat on I gave it a try, and found a bright "no signal" on my screen, turned to channel 407 and goltv went on for and 15 seconds and went off to no signal, took pansat down to den and connected it there where 407 stayed on until I changed channels and when I went back to 407 again, no signal. I went to other non $ channels and got "no signal" is it a connection, did dish get pushed by wind? What to do, thanks

Hi dodger18, make sure you have the last working old bin installed which I think were 353 for the 3500 and 272 for the 2700. Turn off the auto roll features, then load the newest keys. Delete all channels and rescan the sats. That should give you some locals and some PPV movies on the VOD channels around the 5000 channel numbers. Here are the last set of keys.

Using SD card to up date the BIOS to 353 was SO FRICKIN easy.

Hey All I plugged in my SD card into my card reader on my computer. I drag and dropped the BIN 353 file onto the card. Took the card to my Pansat 3500s, plugged the SD Card into the Pansat receiver. Pressed menu on the remote, went to SD memory. It brought up the file, I pressed ok and it loaded. When it was done loading it rebooted and after 40 seconds it turn the receiver back on. I than deleted all my channels, did a blind scan and it worked. Now I am getting all the VOD's around the 5,000 range.

My question is this, what satelites does the BEV work off of?

@dodger18, I'll take you through a quick setup on my 2700. The 3500 should be very similar. Hit MENU >> INSTALLATION >> ANTENNA SETUP >> then pick the sat you want to scan in the left side of the screen. Make sure your settings are correct for that sat in the right side. Then move to the bottom of the right side where it says SAT SCAN >> AND SELECT ALL.

When its done, repeat for the other sat.

    SOMETHING WEIRD HAPPENED WHY???????????

Guys I got my VOD and local channels working great. Than today everything was free, PPV, Adult and other channels. Then my wife turned our receiver off and everything is lost again.

Do I have to reload the 353 bin, than re-enter keys, turn off auto roll feature, delete channels than do an other blind scan?
